Cool, so North Koreans send their people to Russia to work for the mafia and they support the regime with their money and don't get paid. Nice.

Shortly after I arrived in Siberia, our British editor, Andy Capper, texted me: “You’ll love Siberia. Everything is so close and the people are so nice.” He was of course being facetious (or British: same thing) because everything is 18 hours by train and the people are very mean indeed. Some might start out nice, but after the vodka starts flowing—which is always—so does the malevolence. There are exceptions to the cranky-Russian rule, but they’re very few and very far between. One such exception was a lovely, lovely man named Billy the Fish—not his real name, of course. His nickname was the Fish, and I added the “Billy” in because I was drunk.

Billy was a local mafia type from a remote Siberian town that had no police and little regulation, save him and his boys. This would prove to be literally lifesaving, because we were after a very dangerous quarry in the middle of nowhere—North Korean slaves—who don’t want anyone to know they are actually there. Billy, clearly game for some hijinks, agreed to take us into the forest to find them.

At the first camp we found, the North Korean guards threatened us and tried to throw us out. Billy the Fish laughed—a great gold-toothed guffaw—and then smiled. “This is Russia,” he growled, eyes glinting. Motioning to the vast expanses around him, he declared, “This is mine.” Then to our camera crew, “Keep shooting. They can do nothing.” So we did.

THEY SEND IT TO BRITIAN WTF?

So, interesting connections there huh? I don't know what to make of that. I am starting to believe that this Shane Smith guy is in on something.. he gets the best stories ive seen that i can think of off the top of my head.

So does anyone actually have an opinion on the intel/ stories they are gathering? Seems like you guys are only interested in arguing semantics these days and proving your point right rather then trying to learn the truth. Here we have an alternative news source producing serious intelligence work through journalism and they are addressing some of the worlds biggest issues yet noon cares to look at the reality of what they are presenting and debunk or confirm the validity of these journalist, who they are run by and where the money trail starts and ends.... lets get on it guys.

Its the guy from Vice, this guy is #ing doing the most hard hitting stories ive seen in the news and ATS is ignoring it.

Ive literally gone through all of this guys works in the past few weeks you guys need to pay attention to what hes saying.

Man you guys are so stuck on what you want to believe and not on the truth. Lets get with it.

I not too long ago also found a link between North Korea and the Russian mafia (my thread: www.abovetopsecret.com...)

Basically NK is big on the drug trade and has about $4 billion dollars (likely more) in slush funds. The Russia mafia according to reports, has been helping them launder money.

Scary stuff.

wow very telling. Maybe we should rethink the whole north korea situation. We all know what the Russian mafia is in Russia. That means a lot of that money is coming from the US. There are interesting ties to be made here, but ATS isnt interested in the truth anymore.

You are absolutely right. People whine about sourced information, denial at its best.
Yes, there is a lot of doom porn, but we can't simply shut our eyes to reality. We, as people have given up so much to our respective leaders in many forms, one would be taxes. And it's NEVER enough.

Seems we are going to end up volunteer workers one day..
Tax raise? Sure, they'll just take your pay cheque straight from the employer.

Heck, even the CEO of the Canadian air transportation security authority (CATSA) said that owning a home is privilege, not a right.
