One word: Texas

If Texas is the answer, it must be a funny question.

Texas and Florida are known for fraud havens, but more so for Texas. Texas is a state where you can order a nortary stamp without being a notary. Yep, good luck moving your company to Texas.

You too can be a Texas notary

But if your intent is criminal, like say money laundering, Texas and Florida are your best choices. Incidentally, both states have infinite homestead liability, so when you are sued, the person your screwed over can't force your house to be sold. Hey, it worked for OJ. Too bad he left Florida to go to Vegas.

Notorious arms trader Viktor Bout used Texas for staging his arms business. The companies are listed here:

Beretta.... COME ON DOWN Y'ALL!

Proudly,
Texas

Being raised in Cali then moving to Texas (culture shock for the better), I just don't see why we don't succeed already. Love this state.

I knew this was going to happen.. The firearms industry employs more americans than GM "the staple of the US economy" according to Obama.

There will be many jobs lost because of this nonsense... People's livelihoods and at the worst time in our economic history at that!

this has to be one of the best pieces of propaganda i've heard yet ...

If you look at the statistics, those who are buying guns already have guns
NOT in this state.

need some 'stats' to support that statement ?
here ya go.

current:
Florida
1,025,654 active permits as of February 28, 2013

6 yrs ago:
Doubling since 2007, the number of concealed weapons license holders will top 5 percent of Florida’s 19.1 million residents in a state that is number one nationally in licenses issued.

“Clearly it is a popular law and has been taken advantage of by a large number of Floridians who have acted responsibly,” Putnam said.

Florida has been licensing concealed weapons since 1987, when state officials took over authority from counties that had a patchwork of requirements regarding who could carry and what was needed to qualify for a license. Since then, more than 2 million licenses have been issued.

License holders are predominantly male and most are over 31 years old, with more than 219,000 at least 65 years old. While still a relative minority, representing about 20 percent of all license holders, more than 200,000 women also have licenses to carry.

Putnam said that of the 2 million issued, only 0.3 percent have been revoked.
which means, that ownership of new weapons will accompany those new licenses, all 500,000+ of'em
plus the additional sales to current owners.

you can dismiss it all you want but the facts speak for themselves.
and ... with over 1 million ppl w/guns running around in one state, surely we should have more gun violence than we do, right ???

and tourism, that should be a bust if everyone is so afraid to be here, right ??
somehow, that just isn't the case, even in this economy.

It would be nice to see the governors of these states serve out the remainder of their terms and then never hold office anywhere ever again. This type of stuff happens because of the voters who put their leaders into their positions of authority to begin with.

I live in CO, and I have a feeling that our governor will serve out his days then retire or go be the mayor of a small town at the most; he's seen and lived his political prime. To not care at all about the # of jobs that are going to leave your state or the amount of $$$ that will be lost by hunters who will no longer hunt in CO just so that you can make a small % of morons who have no independent thought happy is just deplorable and ridiculous.

I have empathy for all the Beretta employees who live in MD and are going to lose their jobs; hopefully they have the choice to move to the new location though.

At least people are starting to wake up that the NRA and politicians opposing gun control has absolutely nothing to do with the 2nd ammendment or being American and everything to do with the gun manufacturers offloading boatloads of cash for political support.

Opposing gun control is solely about keeping gun manufacturers profits where they are.

And now the company PTR, a manufacture of HK clones is leaving as well.
Can't wait to see socialist states go down in flames as companies leave and they quash capitalism and freedom.

yeah im with ya on that the reason i was gonna get the 9mm from beretta was that i have a highpoint 45 carbine and yeah that thing is the most ridiculous thing to take down that i have ever tried to work on,and on hipoints warrenty i sent my 45 hand gun in to them cuz i bent the sites and sent it with out a magazine they sent me not one but two back with it as well as ghost ring night sites (they have the glowy trintium) at no cost to me never have i had better customer service from a company in my life and kinda hard to argue with a .45 acp for under $150 sure aint pretty but it gets the job done
Ummm...That's kind of funny...I went with the 9mm highpoint so I could plink. I wish I had gone with the 45 there as well as the Barretta CX4 Storm carbine...one ammo set for multiple platforms seems like the way to go....just stay away from the remington 45 acp I've had more than a few of the casings split down their length...Federal makes some good ammo as well as Hornady, Wolf, American Eagle...etc.

Florida whacko with gun #1

Florida whacko with a gun #2

Florida whacko with a gun #3

Etc, etc. Florida is hardly a shining example of a well armed population behaving themselves.

Hey, so much for that Senate fillibuster over gun legislation. The GOP has seen the writing on the wall. Gun control is very popular. We can't let the United States turn into Florida or Texas.

hahahaha, only 3 in the same year ?
you didn't look very hard, did ya ?

not sure what you're getting at besides poor behavior exhibited by a very few.
(hmmm, 3 of 1.5 million - would that even register as a % ?)

gun control is popular.
use both hands, point and shoot = gun control

this loony tune registry idea though, that's the worst idea anyone has put forth short of the Feinstein fiasco.

Feel free to google all the gun nut action you want in Florida or Texas. I just gave a small example.

Gun control is coming. Get used to it.

Funny thing about Beretta. If you read the official statement, it says they are considering leaving the state. The CEO parroted the usual douche bag NRA garbage in the statement, but never said they are definitely leaving.
They would have to move all the machinery, find new workers or move the existing workforce, etc. That isn't cheap. Further, it would hamper production, though in the case of the crap Beretta makes, no great loss.

Since this legislation doesn't hurt their bottom line one iota, they will be spending money just to make a political statement. I've seen stupider actions, but only from North Korea.

My guess is Obama admin will generate a contract for 80M or so just like they did for Remington in NY and Berretta will suddenly have a change of heart and stay right where they are proving that right and wrong are all relative when smothered in freshly printed greenbacks regardless of their quickly diminishing value.

A corporation’s moral compass is tied to its profit margin and that is where it ends. Unless of course it is some kind of sole proprietorship sometimes then you see one take some kind of stand.
