if the world all worked together we could easily farm enough plants and animals and fish and find enough room for an indefinite expansion of the human race.

Besides the obvious gigantic flaws in your reasoning, the real issue is why the F*&% would you want to keep growing our gigantic population? We can't take care of the 7 billion we have now, it would be the stupidest thing in the universe to encourage continued massive growth that is completely unsustainable (water, food, metals, jobs infrastructure, etc).

If you want to make the entire world look like Africa or Detroit then you have a great plan, but why ruin life for the rest of us?

Yes the nubers seem high when talking about many billions of people but birth rates are WAY down. That means less people. There is a plethora of available studies that conclusively prove that our birth rates are decreasing.

Everyone in your graph is older and slowly dieing. Eventually their 1.5 average kids will have 1.5 kids themselves and that will mean that we will have less people alive. Compared to a hundred years ago it seems to be growing but factor in the age of the samples as well as new births and you would have a decreasing population. Which we do
