.....perhaps, just perhaps...and this should not be taken in all seriousness......Kim Jong Un is doing this with a purpose in mind...taking a leaf from Joseph Conrad's book 'Heart of Darkness' and adapted for use by Coppola in the movie 'Apocalypse Now'.

In the book, which was set in Congo, about the expliotation of black workers with the lead going insane finally and called for destruction upon everyone in the savage tribe he created and where he was deemed a god.

In the movie, which was set in Vietnam during the '65 war, it was about a colonel who went insane leading resistance fighters whom equally turned into savages and even he could not accept such brutalities by them.

In the end, the lead called ' drop the bomb. exterminate them all' - 'the horror, the horror!'

Perhaps...just perhaps.....Jong Un realizes the savagery of the N.Korean military, created by his grandpop, and nurtured by his dad, and now finally with him holding the illusive reigns, know that his savages from the top leaders to the last trooper, cannot be changed, too late to change, and impossible to change, and will only bring more terror and suffering not only to his people, but to the world as well.

Thus, he created the long sought after mad and insane destruction of the N.Korean army by his mad leaders now, just like Joseph Conrad's Kurtz - the insane leader, who set up the situation whereby a sane outsider would 'do it now' and drop the bomb to exterminate the 'savages.

After all, Jong Un is not an uneducated man, and it is just ...incomprehensible that he would pile on such stupidities non-stop for China and Russia to be angry with him and practically inviting the West 'to drop the bomb and exterminate all'......

I suggest that we just end this. He wants war, give him war. Send the two F-22 in and attack Pyongyang. The NK topic will be closed within 15min.

You will never hear from Fat Kim again, because he will know that you don't mess with the United States even you have Nuclear Weapons...

Preemptive Strike - that's what I want to see! .. not under this Administration ....

NorKo, 5th largest standing army in the world.
1,106,000 active
8,200,000 reserve

If a person adds them together with the 189k para-military you get - 9,495,000

That would make them # 1 in terms of persons available to fight.

1 million will die in the first48 hours of full on military conflict.

Blood would flow like small streams in the streets. Seriously.

You young people do not understand the dangers and complexities of this problem.

This would be extremely grave for the world, but many think it is what is needed to kick start our economies.

I know nutjobs, but Fatboy kim takes the cake.

He and his bunch of senile old military retards must have been playing with sandbox toy soldiers for far too long to know what a REAL WAR means.

Can someone please, please have some mercy and wake up that bozo before its too late.

In wars, it is NEVER about numbers. It is about strategies and technologies used.

During Caesar's wars, he often faced barbarians by the millions against his mere 20,000 centurions at best, and Marius, who face the german migration by the millions, both Caesar and Marius won.

Simply because they had tactics and engineering tech, which the barbarians dont, and was annihilated by the NUMBERS as they stupidly rushed enmassed into roman engineered fortifications

Today, the N.Koreans are not that stupid to rush enmass towards their enemies, and equally so - the S.Korean and American military is not gonna fight with trebachets and other medival seige weapons.

Today's battlefied is hi-tech and vast. Unless N.Korea can match S.Korea and USA in similar terms, then it is only a forgone conclusion that N.Korea will lose in a conventional warfare, no matter how much canon fodder they throw up, because satellites fitted with theomal sensors and stealth fighters will destroy the air superiority, if EMP weapons do not first.

Blood will flow for sure, and it will be the N.Korean military's blood, for there is NO bunker deep enough to hide from american better bunker busting bombs.

No one wants war, not even the industrial military complex. In wars, humans die and what's left will not be enough to fill factory labour to produce weapons, let alone even buy anything, more so in this frightening nuclearized world, whereby if it starts, the next world war will only be fought by sticks.

In plain 21st Century Ground Troops Number cannot be relevant anymore if you cant support them with a very realiable and vast Aerial Force, wich im pretty sure would be the case here. Despite some more couple of squadrons with recent Russian-made Mig Fighters, all the rest remains being based on old cold-war soviet era of bombers and interceptors....and even on these we are not sure how many still in airwhorty conditions, just my 2 cents..

Despite NK"s out of date forces,it still has a mutual defence treaty with China and China with Russia
The moment SK/USA strikes pre-emptively china will become involved,so you can see how this can be very big problem if not handled carefully.

China and Russia both in recent years have cut ties to a large extent with North Korea. They aren't nearly as buddy buddy as they were the first time around.

NKorea has been under the assumption China would povide military support,so no need in modernizing its forces, however in this case i agree, unless SK/USA attacks pre-emptivey,i dont expect to see Chinese armed involvemet, although there defense agreement is still very much on the table

Wake up. The west is just antagonizing them into this so they have the pre-text to do a stimulus for the military industrial complex. If you don't see whats happening now look back to every war this country engaged in since Vietnam at least.

Being that you parrot the news with the scare, one wonders how you can be so naive and posting on a conspiracy forum.

Oh you don't think China is totally for N. Korea? You think they're OK with western occupation right on the border of their country if North Korea has peace with the US? The west is playing it so they can set up bases in north korea after some conflict that is justified by some falsehood like a nuclear threat to the west.

This is the same as WMD in Iraq.

China will snap up what land then can grab, and sign a deal with the US to keep it if it comes to a fight. They don't like having North Korea on their border right now any more than they would like having US forces there. But the chances are that once the ROK takes the North, the US would pull most of their troops out (if South Korea asked them, which they probably would).

I find it highly unlikely that south korea would take over the north without full USA backing. If that happens I find it even harder to beleive the USA would install bases in the unified korea as they done worldwide.

Looks like things are heating up to the point of no return. I dont think they have a direct target in mind but I think they are going to launch missles into the ocean in a show of their own strength since the wargames in the region are a show of the strength of the US and S Korea.

english.yonhapnews.co.kr...

North Korea has loaded two intermediate-range missiles onto mobile launchers and hidden them in an unidentified facility near the east coast, Seoul military sources said Friday, triggering speculation that the North is ready for an abrupt missile launch.

falsh flag? a ship in the ocean blows up, US claim it was a NK missile, boom we have our reason to destroy them. sound familiar?

The US installed bases in the South at the request of the government, to assist them in keeping the peace with the North. Starting in 2014 the US was turning full military control of the Korean Peninsula to the South Korean military. They would draw forces down somewhat, but military decisions would be made by the ROK government.

If the two countries unified, there wouldn't be nearly as much need for a US presence there. We might see a couple of bases but nowhere near what we have now.

Exactly, and that would likely make China even ok with a unified and democratic Korea, as long as our bases were out... But of course, I'm sure they'd establish a DMZ of their own along the border. It is "iffy" though...but I'm sure such talks have taken place.

MY PREDICTION - China will put a stop to this. They have to be embarrassed by this N. Korean nutter bringing the world to the brink of insanity. China is very dependent upon the USA to buy all it's cheaply made junk. If N. Korea goes to war against the USA .. we won't be buying China's junk anymore and China will suffer economically. China's much too financially savy to allow that to happen.

So .. China will either pull this nutter back from the brink ... or they will 'take him out' and replace him with someone more stable. That's my prediction.
