What did you do on your day off from ATS ???

I actually stayed focused on my chemistry homework and discovered that I could master an entire chapter in sub 4 hours if I am not distracted.

ATS gives, even when it is down.

BTW? Are we a cult yet?



P.S. To be completely honest, I spent about 30 minutes experimenting with flushing my DNS resolver and actually got on long enough to post a song on Mood Music.

My first thought was "I got banned!?!?!" as well..
The wife was glad at first.
We sit together at the 'puter, so she "hates" any site i'm on too much, first facepalm, now ATS...
Then I found the comments on isitdown and was flabbergasted at ATS members being real people, with Facecomic profiles..but why not? We meet people here and discuss topics with intelligent people, why not "like"each other on shamebook?
Anyway, I was too cowardly to join the cuddly discussion on isitdown so I was grateful to Justchris for the Back-up emergency site. My wife went to bed in disgust when I signed in, but my ATS

I felt the Soul of ATS urging me to find other homeless members on the WWW. closed my eyes, and let the urge guide my fingers. I quickly ended up on isitdown...and shyly, some other homeless started admitting we were looking for our *fix*

After gathering quite a crowd there...several not-feeling-now-so-homeless flew off to build new temporary homes for us in nooks and crannies of the WWW. We then all bounced around in a traveling party between those new temporary homes, decorating them with our own personalities....

isitdown and the Downtime Funny Farm quickly filled with more wandering homeless....fun and laughs shared by all...offers of every link and fix that could be tried to get back into our locked doors of ATS, were eagerly shared. Some pats on the back passed around, some kleenex for those who needed them.

Some Anger that some heartless evil soulless entity, could have violated our sacred place.

We did everything but hold hands and sing Kumbaya around a campfire. Heff cried the most.....

We didn't care anymore...we were so happy to find others like us.....

I paniced and thought i was banned. I crawled into a little ball, rocked back and forth telling myself everything was going to be ok.

Later on that night i hit the bottle hard to drown my sorrows. Passed out, woke up the next morning with a hang over to find I was not banned!

Was it all a dream? Maybe an inter dimensional time slip perhaps? I could have sworn Australia was in a different location. Dosent matter, all is well now that im back on!

I went outside and enjoyed the air and the break.
We as ats members really do need to go outside for a bit every day and enjoy real life...not facebook,ats,youtube,twitter etc etc.

I loved the break and wish it would happen to everyone's favorite sites for a few hours a day in order to provoke them into living a real life and not an online one and force them to enjoy the real world we live in.

Word to the wise...there is a real life out there to live.
There is nothing wrong with interacting with people in REAL life...try it.

Get a life people!!!!!

I was lonesome without my other family.
I even broke down and made a FB account just so I could get into the gathering at IIRC. Didn't put anything on it and ain't gonna use it but at least if it happens again (Lord forbid) I can find my lost kin!
