"I will tell you these are ammunition, they’re bullets, so the people who have those now they’re going to shoot them, so if you ban them in the future, the number of these high capacity magazines is going to decrease dramatically over time because the bullets will have been shot and there won’t be any more available."

"I will tell you these are ammunition, they’re bullets, so the people who have those now they’re going to shoot them, so if you ban them in the future

So ammo is bullets, people shooting them bullets up all right now we can ban /ammo bullets in the future

Guns without ammo are worthless.

AS to the rest high cap magazines will just sit on a shelf empty because there is no ammo because it was banned.

True you can reload brass a few times before your playing Russian roulette until the brass fails, but then agian those politicians made laws for reloading as well.

Now on the other hand "bullet"s the projectile being shot can be made out of anything of course most people just buy it.

Tell her to go watch youtube and see how many hi cap mags are in this country there are more magazines than guns.

Regardless of bullet supply the expending of any ammo would not, in fact, lessen the amount of magazines in circulation.

I'm concerned that some sort of strong partisan bias may be motivating you to defend the indefensible logical fallacy demonstrated by this politician.

@Neo: We cannot ban bullets. DC vs Heller finds that ammunition, too, is protected by the second amendment. That is why any sort of ammo tax, or ban attempts in the future will not happen.

Partisan bias? Well, maybe you know buster better than I do... But, all I saw was someone who noticed an error in the op and instead of doing nothing, sought to correct it, doing the op a favor in the process. Normally someone with some partisan bias would stick around and try to bully their point across. But like I said, I don't know that guy, maybe you are more familiar with his political standings. All I know him as is the guy with the big bang avatar who I sometimes agree with and sometimes disagree with... Yeah the politician is still an idiot but just not for the reason stated in the op. Nowhere did she say that she thinks magazines cannot be reloaded. She said they cannot be reloaded if there are no bullets to reload them WITH... It's cool to bash politicians and all...but... you know... come correct.

This woman is a typical clueless Democrat. And one of many examples of the ignorance of the American voter these days.

Good News: Bob Beckel says it's over. The Gun Grabbing Liberals have lost the argument.

The liberals have been reduced to background checks and that's it.

No consolation for the folks in NY, NJ, CA, CO, MN, MD, CT, DE, etc.....

Like standing among a bunch of dead buddies but being happy the flag wasnt taken. There isnt anything to cheer about until "shall not be infringed" is respected full measure nationwide and every POS law since the 30's is shredded.

It sounds to me like she is talking about banning bullets. Hence, if people can't get their hands on ammo they won't need high capacity mags.

Seems to me, that she is mistaking "magazines" for shell casings. Either way she's an idiot. But then again we have become a nation of idiots, it is no wonder that we elect idiots.

They have many FREE STATES for a safe haven.

It's a good sign that we have more states than the liberal loons.

Go ahead and complete the list.

List the Gun Grabbing Liberal States and then all of the FREE states.

Show them on a map of the USA. Our states = Free America

Gun Grabbing Liberal States = Tyranny Has Arrived

Read it again. It's technically talking about the magazines if you take them at their word. It's pretty clear. Are you implying that bullets will be banned or its even being discussed?

Maybe the gun crowd can convince the lawmakers there to supply endless ammunition to the folks with any High Capacity or Standard magazine out there and free access to ranges so they can shoot them until they are used up, maybe then they will figure out what magazines do.

Even if she doesn't understand guns, she should have access to a search engine or two.

Now if you assume that she doesn't you might be able to see where she is coming from, perhaps, in the past, she has subscribed to a magazine and they used to come to her house monthly. Well one day she realized that she had used them all up by reading them all the way through. Could this be where the thought process is at?

You have pinned the tail on the donkey, all puns aside. She did a slip of the tounge on the actual plan. The goverment intends to use the background check as a tie in to Obama care. After that, they are going after ammo. No ammo, no using your guns. This plan has been well thought out, and the culprits are very patient.

Maybe she thinks the magazines are bought pre-filled? Like razor blades refills, you know, you get 3, 4, 6 or 10 in a little plastic carrier.....
If you really think she had slipped and mentioned something related to a bullet scarcity, that could really be problematic. About a month back, I had posted on one of the "DHS buying millions of $$ worth of ammo" threads here that the DHS has also, supposedly, cancelled the reloading of the .223 brass and, instead, were selling the brass to some china company for the "metal value". This would worry me because then, it would seem, they may have set up a way to bleed the market of re-loadable brass forcing the prices up over time as supply for reloads dwindles. Maybe they are intending to make the bullets very scarce and comparatively expensive for the average Joe (or Jane) .
It may be nothing nut a misinformed politician or it could be the tip of a very large plan.
