Are TPTB using lies to promote gun control? You bet they are and here is a new one. After the SH tragedy, there was a call for armed security in schools. When this happened, a story broke on the HuffPost that columbine had armed guards and it did not matter. They could not stop it so why move forward with that protection? Fact is though it is a lie.

There were no armed guards at columbine but if you ask most people they will say yes. This is because they skim articles, look only at a headline and make a decision. If you go to Wikipedia you can get the real story for gods sake but it does not matter. If it is in the news by TPTB is must be true.

Now, TPTB are going after the NRA. The headline is Adam Lanza, mom had NRA certificates .This is not true according to the NRA but it does not matter since the headline says they were. He had a guidebook anyone could get from the web. That is it...

So, here is another lie created to push agendas for gun control by using tragedy. Is this acceptable to Americans? You only have to look at the new CT law that will require

link

A new state-issued eligibility certificate would also be needed to purchase any rifle, shotgun or ammunition under the legislation. To get the certificate, a buyer would need to be fingerprinted, take a firearms training course and undergo a national criminal background check and involuntary commitment or voluntary admission check.

Ammo folks...they are not only going after your guns but ammo...WAKE UP!!!

PS- to you trolls who keep killing my threads, do it this time and I will find your IP and put a naked picture of Nancy Pelosi as your screensaver....

S&F.....Mostly for that last part..... funny. But yeah, i know handfulls of people that get their news from the front page headlines of the paper. If its not in big, bold lettering, they dont even bother to read it. And the thing that really gets me, is that theres no law calling for 100 percent factual reporting..... Take the Sun magazine for instance. On the other hand, news has been the biggest propoganda pusher for years, so nothing is really surprising at this point. You could live under a rock and have more knowledge of current events than someone who watches/reads the news...

Well this thread would have a point except for one little fact.

The government isn't really going after anyone's guns. Sure they threw up some quick legislation to try and appease their democratic base but as you can see...momentum for it has all but disappeared.

Obama never even mentioned gun control until these recent shootings happened so obviously its not part of his agenda.

The Supreme Court is consistently handing down decisions that side with the populace and protection of the second amendment.

The previous assault weapon ban was allowed to expire without so much as even a whisper from anyone.

There just is no concerted effort to rip guns out of our hands other than the usual whacko's like Bloomberg but they will always be around.

They’re not??

Could have fooled me!

I guess you don’t keep up with the issue. Obama is most definitely using this tragedy to push his agenda.

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama urged lawmakers Thursday to remember the children gunned down in America and not ‘‘get squishy’’ in the face of powerful forces against gun control legislation, as supporters struggle to win over moderate Democrats before a Senate vote expected next month.

Obama said the upcoming vote is the best chance in more than a decade to reduce gun violence. He encouraged Americans, especially gun owners, to press lawmakers home from a congressional spring break to ‘‘turn that heartbreak into something real.’’

‘‘Don’t get squishy because time has passed and it’s not on the news every single day,’’ Obama said.
AP

We can tell it's a ploy because even this administration admits that what they're proposing won't work.

This wasn't part of Obama's agenda until his extreme base demanded action. The same as gay-marriage was not part of his agenda until Biden opened his mouth and forced Obama to take a position.

Obama is about re-distribution of wealth and I'm almost certain he'd like nothing more than for this issue to quietly go away so he can get back on track.

Even if it were part of his sinister plan, not much is being done about it. The outrage shortly after these recent shootings is dying down fairly rapidly and the news cycles are being replaced with other events.

At the end of the day, not much will have changed. If these were false flags by the government it is safe to say they failed miserably.

I have no idea why you made that statement but THIS is from Wiki:

en.wikipedia.org...

A Jefferson County Sheriff's Deputy, Neil Gardner, was assigned to the high school as a full-time uniformed and armed school resource officer. Gardner usually ate lunch with students in the cafeteria, but on April 20 he was eating lunch in his patrol car at the northwest corner of the campus, watching students in the Smokers' Pit in Clement Park.

At 11:22, the custodian called Deputy Gardner on the school radio, requesting assistance in the Senior parking lot. The only paved route took him around the school to the east and south on Pierce Street, where, at 11:23 he heard on his police radio that a female was down, struck by a car, he assumed. He turned on his lights and siren. While exiting his patrol car in the Senior lot at 11:24, he heard another call on the school radio, "Neil, there's a shooter in the school".[23] Harris, at the West Entrance, immediately fired his rifle at Gardner, who was sixty yards away.[23] Gardner returned fire with his service pistol.[31] He was not wearing his prescription eyeglasses, and was unable to hit the shooters.[

Although you were incorrect about that........I agree that Newtown is being used to promote some invalid laws. Conn state legislature just passed sweeping gun laws without even telling the REAL story behind Sandy Hook. They fail to mention that Nancy Lanza knew Adam had mental problems yet purchased guns and ammo for him and allowed him access to them. Why is everyone blaming the guns and NOBODY is blaming her? This would not have happened if she was not so horrifically irresponsible. Are lawmakers still trying at the federal level also? YES......BTW you can ban guns and ammo all you want.......it will just create a huge black market where people will still have access to them.

Save for the poor slobs in NY, CT, CO, DE, MN and IL. Those states have taken a flying leap off the psycho-reactionary tyrant cliff in recent months.

We can only hope the courts bitch-slap some sanity back into them and anyone unlucky enough to be jailed or prosecuted under their asinine new laws gets some compensation.

Do they have to come for every last firearm, all the way down to the beer can plinking .22 rifle from childhood before some even think to raise a voice of alarm or protest?

The 2nd doesn't have an asterix or footnote to clarify they meant a Right to Bear Arms (Pursuant to local regulation, legal requirements, background check, Federal approval or permitting and national registration per new policy which may some day be enacted, forever amen). No... It just says we have the *RIGHT* by our Creator ...NOT by Government to bear arms, which will protect, feed and even provide entertainment and sport on occasion.

It's the fundamental question of...do our Rights come FROM Government or FROM a power above Government? The first line of the first page in the preamble makes the document absolutely crystal clear on that point. Absolutely NO doubt left for anyone in future generations. It takes a politicians to read that and misunderstand it.

It’s always been part of his agenda…both gun control and gay marriage. He’s a narcissist so getting elected and reelected were higher on his priority list. Now that he’s not running anymore he can do whatever his heart desires.

And don’t kid yourself - Obama is the HEAD of the extreme base.

The Roberts Court will of course shoot down these silly laws. Its actually a good thing they are passing this legislation because it will make it to the High Court and they will give us a definitive ruling which once again reaffirms the second amendment as a protection on gun use.

Our current Court is very adament about protecting the second amendment and they have shown this through their consistent rulings on the matter.

This response was to be as a "quoted" posting but I see that the post to which I wanted to refer has been deleted but I will continue as if the post was still there. Ideas cannot be killed - ever.

Responding to the topic "Using tragedy to push agendas..How TPTB are using Sandy Hook and Lies in the media to Disarm America," I never cease to be amazed at how 'they' (we know them - right?) can pull off these very large and very dramatic well staged media hoaxes, and so few of the American people even seem be aware of what's really happening.

YES - let's look at Sandy Hook. There are so many flaws to it - more inconsistencies than you one could logically accept, yet nothing ever is said to the contrary. Nothing ever runs against the official story line. Nothing ever is allowed to be introduced into the MSM conduits.

Its the same here at ATS Forums - why is that? Why is it that so many posts and threads on this topic are closed and/or deleted altogether ? The only commentary that will pass muster at ATS on Sandy Hook is if it demeans or is derogatory of anyone challenging the government's version.

Well I am with you in spirit CasaVigilante - for I too challenge wholeheartedly the governments version of events at Newtown CT and I'm glad to see that there is another here in the thread with the courage to stand up to the "authorities" whoever and wherever they may be.

Thank you CasaVigilante

If you know they're not telling the real story, how do you know that they even know what the real story is?

How do YOU know what the real story is?

In order to find a basis for a conspiracy you first need to establish a motive of why that conspiracy would be instigated in the first place.

There is no reason for these events to be staged by the government. They obviously are not pushing that hard for gun legislation, at the federal level, other than a watered down law here or there. Are Pelosi, Reid, and Feinstein still on the news every single day demanding action be taken?

Nope

They did their little song and dance for their base and have since moved on. It seems a huge waste of a false flag if indeed that was their goal.

No motivation = no conspiracy. If you do happen to figure out the WHY part of these shootings being a set-up than perhaps we can move on from there.

Well they are pushing gun control while blaming Adam Lanza with his guns yet they fail to even mention where those guns came from. Leaving out those salient facts of the story is a conspiracy itself. They don't want blame to be placed anywhere but Adam and his guns............they claim that every weapon was legally registered to Nancy then later say some were straw purchases yet in that same breath fail to state she let him have access to them. The MSM nor the legislators are even attempting to tell the entire truth of the facts they have.

From your link:

Discussing the utter mishandling of the breaking story by the MSM is one thing, questions about what happened are fine, but, defaming, libeling, or otherwise exposing innocent people, especially those who are still suffering from this tragedy, to further insult or pain is below the base level of compassion we can tolerate.

This thread isn't about the victims...it's about this administration using the tragedy for it's own purposes of gun control. What's wrong with having that discussion? Who does it hurt?

My question is: do they even KNOW where those guns came from. We've been told NL was a member of the NRA but the NRA says she was not a member. We've been told that NL took Adam to gun ranges but all the gun ranges in the area say they have no record of either of them ever being there. What other lies have they told about NL and why should we believe anything else they say?

Its so easy to malign dead people.
