When you can make more being at home with your children than out working, that has been a big reason many made the choice. There are exceptions to
this, but I know I fought with my Mom at one point many years ago about this same subject. I wanted to stay home with my children and live on welfare,
and she was livid that I would opt out of 'work' even if I made more staying home .
