Dammit.

Me and Trick decided to be super ballsy and call PA for kerry as 23:00 now the networks beat us to it. They were ignoring the results for soooo long.

I wish we had called it earlier now.

I live in Washington and I am already getting tired of people freaking out because Bush is "ahead." The election is far from over, though it really all depends on PA, FL, OH, maybe WI, IA, MI and NH, and maaaaaaaaybe CO or NM if either swings against whoever it went for last year. That's why a lot of states are getting called right after the polls close - because every one knows who is gonna win there. CNN called, NY, for example, after only a few hundred votes had been tallied. Regardless, there are still a whole lot of votes left to be counted so now is not the time to be crying or celebrating. Not yet, anyway.

Im going to drop everybody a friendly note on this thread. There will be NO tolerance for political sniping by any side PERIOD. This is a ATSNN thread not the mud pit. Nobody has crossed any lines yet, but I just wanted to get that out there so there is no surprises. Everyone has done a great job of not making this into a mudpit type discussion.

Thanks
FredT

And either David Cobb is popular as hell in Ohio, or something is wrong with their state reporting. 45,000 votes so far with 33% reporting? That's pretty counterintuitive. Nader has half that in Florida with nearly 75% reporting and Cobb has less than 3,000 there. What's up with the Cobb vote in Ohio? (or their reporting?)

What results are you getting. If you look at CNN.com break down, Cobb isn't even on the Ohio ballot. Do you mean Cobb on the FL ballot?

Then Matt Drudge lied to me.

He's posted these links as official state counts:

election.sos.state.oh.us...

enight.dos.state.fl.us...

I'll take a screen shot of mine if you don't get the same thing I do.

EDIT: DAMN. I hit refresh, now COBB has 4 votes.

I trust none of this. :shk:

Ill see yall at the FEMA camps

Ask for FEMA camp # 4...I hear they make good omlettes and outstanding waffles.

Remember,,,,a healthy prisoner is a productive one.

I also want to say hello to Homeland Security,,,CIA,,,,Law Enforcement,,,,,and the technical savy of the clan for making it all possible.

Remember the spoken word is more powerful than actions (message board venting and kooky yahoo chat protocols)

Is Kerry still any chance of winning?

Absolutely. He just won PA. He hasn't lost anything yet that wasn't an unexpected longshot.

Even if Florida goes Bush, Kerry could still get Ohio. Then it gets interesting.

So really it's Fla and Ohio now we look to. Then the rest of midwest.

Not really. If Kerry wins NH,NM, and one state like CO the rest plays out like 2000 Kerry Wins

That's too much of a spin even coming from you...

Not at all. I like a winner. We voted Bush in for a second time? great.
I look forward to the Iran war.

*puts on combat fatigues*

When are we going to whoop some a**? Cant hardly wait.

Just think, in 4 years we can wipe out most of the world.

Looking forward to it.

Seems like the youth vote issue was debunked. Polls showed 17% of 18-29yrs voted in 2000 and again this year. Kerry was counting on the youth and it seems he didn't get it. A shame more people my age didn't vote (regardless if it was for Bush or Kerry) given that the next 4yrs will be very trying times in this country. Would be ironic if a draft really was reinstated by Bush in the next year. I bet some of those young ones would wish they had voted then. Not saying a draft is coming under Bush but just using this particular topic for an example since so much talk of a draft has been on the lips (and keyboards) of many for a while.

Oil shares are going up here strongly (and the market in general)

Ooh! Interesting...

ps: where is "here"? which markets?

Australia. But it is all pretty nervous i think. If it begins to look closer the markets will come off. A lot of "hot" money I think.
