From Richard Branson's blog

I’m thrilled to announce that Virgin has created another world-first with the introduction of the technology required to produce the world’s first glass-bottomed plane. This technological innovation coincides with the start of Virgin Atlantic Airways’ first ever domestic service to Scotland. In 1984 we started the wonderful airline that is Virgin Atlantic. I am incredibly proud of yet another aviation breakthrough which has been years in the making. I can’t wait to experience the first flight for myself with my family and other natural born explorers.

Unless they start storing your luggage in the ceiling of the plane this must be a joke.

Would be funny to hear someone complain about the "wheel seat"

i just don't see this one working out at all. for one thing what are you going to do with the luggage? the luggage hold is UNDER the passenger compartment and so to put in "glass floor", you would have to cut that area out of the luggage hold and wall it off. talk about wasted space if they do that, not to mention of course that it would look silly and not be effective as when you looked down you would see a "tunnel" before the next piece of glass (whatever product they would use), and if it was only "isle wide" it would be small and you in the end would be able to see very little through it anyway. not only that it would spend most of the flight closed just like they make you close the shade on your window for most of the flight.

all jokes aside they Could do something like that with hd cameras on the bottom of the plane and led screens in the floor.

It would be like the elevator prank where the floor falls, only down side would be the weight of it.
