Many influencial Russian media channels, like RT, Ria Novosti ja The Voice of Russia, are reporting that it was simply faulty translation and actually North Korea never said they are entering state of war.

en.ria.ru...

Russian media reported that a faulty translation might have been to blame for this apparent uptick in bellicose rhetoric.
The North Korean original statement apparently stressed that the country would act "in accordance with wartime laws" if attacked, and that "from that time, North-South relations will enter a state of war."

Anybody speak North Korean?

Ok So the sinking of s Ship and the loss of 42+ of YOUR servicemen also the shelling of one of YOUR islands does not constitute a act of war?

Also they have been at war for 63 years.

I keep having to remind people of this, I really don’t want to have to go create a thread to explain it because there are so many North Korea threads right now but North Korea and South Korea are already in a state of war. The Korean Armistice agreement of 1953 never actually ended the war it was just more like a indefinite ceasefire as yet the two states are technically still at war and have been since 1950. It makes all these claims about North Korea entering a state of war kind of pointless what is big news is that the North Koreans said that 1953 was invalid earlier this month.
