I never said I had any problem with helping the widow or orphan.

So, you don't have a problem with religion?

I have a problem with what is passed off as genuine today. Which is WAAAAAAAAAY more than caring for the poor, widows and orphans.

Then your claim to not be religious is incorrect.

Think what you want. You're not Jesus, I don't have to justify by beliefs to you.

My question is how many of you celebrate Easter with the same fervor you celebrate Christmas ?

Those holidays are celebrated/remembered in two different ways in our home.

Christmas is celebrated with a joy of expectation. With focus on joy.

Easter with a remembering of the sorrows suffered for us and of celebrating it as the REAL 'New Year' because with Easter, all things are made new. I know many look at the joy of Easter morning. We do too. But most of the holy week is indeed sorrowful.

Obviously the joyful is looked forward to more than the sorrowful.
That's human nature .. to look for the joyful rather than the sorrowful.
But the two go together .. Christmas and Easter.
Neither would be important without the other.

I'm a Christian, but not religious.

It is not possible to be a real Christian and not be religious.

Not true. You are confusing being 'spiritual' with being 'religious'.
A person can be christian and be either .. or neither ...

Religion

Religion is an organized collection of belief systems, cultural systems, and world views that relate humanity to spirituality and, sometimes, to moral values.[note 1] Many religions have narratives, symbols, traditions and sacred histories that are intended to give meaning to life or to explain the origin of life or the Universe. From their ideas about the cosmos and human nature, they tend to derive morality, ethics, religious laws or a preferred lifestyle. According to some estimates, there are roughly 4,200 religions in the world.

Definition of Spiritual

1: of, relating to, consisting of, or affecting the spirit : incorporeal ...
5a : of or relating to supernatural beings or phenomena

Thank you FlyersFan
For finally giving an answer related to the question

Would it be fair to say that Christmas is celebrated in the spirit of Jesus through the eyes of children and Easter is more through the eyes of adults ?

A humble man would respond differently to his error being brought to light.

Then again, claiming to know Hebrew better than the Jews doesn't show humbleness either.

A person can be Catholic/Protestant and be either or neither, but a person cannot be Christian and be either or neither.

I haven't made an "error" because you choose to nitpick and criticise something I never said. So have a good day.

I overeat just as much on Easter as I do on Christmas. I guess I consider each as just as important a day to overeat.

Easter is a Catholic holiday with pagan traditions. Christmas is also. True Christians should avoid them and keep the Christian Passover.

You are more than welcome but if you read the OP

I will then leave you to your religion that is not a religion error.

Christians do not teach pagan doctrines or celebrate pagan holidays.

Well I know some Christians who wear a shirt that says "Our god is stronger"

In his recent book, Benedict 16th stated that those were pagan holidays. No one who is spiritual at all falls for those holidays as being correct worship of God.

If your a government employee...say hells yes to labor day and presidents day! Not to mention all those other days we forgot about!

Veterans day is a cool day off.

Should we take the month off for Black History Month? I thinks so. We work way too much! You go Martin Luther King. We have a road and bridge named after you in every city! Even other countries!

I need time off...overworked.

I said, "I thought you were a Protestant". I said nothing about you being a Catholic.
