Christmas is celebrated with a joy of expectation. With focus on joy.

Easter with a remembering of the sorrows suffered for us and of celebrating it as the REAL 'New Year' because with Easter, all things are made new. I know many look at the joy of Easter morning. We do too. But most of the holy week is indeed sorrowful.

Obviously the joyful is looked forward to more than the sorrowful.
That's human nature .. to look for the joyful rather than the sorrowful.
But the two go together .. Christmas and Easter.
Neither would be important without the other.

Would it be fair to say that Christmas is celebrated in the spirit of Jesus through the eyes of children and Easter is more through the eyes of adults ?

I overeat just as much on Easter as I do on Christmas. I guess I consider each as just as important a day to overeat.

Well I know some Christians who wear a shirt that says "Our god is stronger"

In his recent book, Benedict 16th stated that those were pagan holidays. No one who is spiritual at all falls for those holidays as being correct worship of God.

If your a government employee...say hells yes to labor day and presidents day! Not to mention all those other days we forgot about!

Veterans day is a cool day off.

Should we take the month off for Black History Month? I thinks so. We work way too much! You go Martin Luther King. We have a road and bridge named after you in every city! Even other countries!
