That is their multi-generational homeland. Argentina NEVER had its people living there. The UK has for several generations. Would you leave YOUR home?

You seem to support the uprooting of a people in favor of another that has only an interest in their resources.

I see you entirely dodged my reply, I'll repeat it again. What about the Spanish conquistadores currently inhabiting Argentina? Surely if you want the British to leave you would want the Argies to sail back to Spain no?

Remember, Argentina wasn't even a country when Britain inhabited the previously uninhabited islands.

From what I have seen she should be barred from the forum, she has been unable to provide any intelligible argument. She ignores anything which she cannot answer, and when she does reply to something she cannot refute she seems to resort to being patronising. All she is is a troll .

Why? why should it have to do with the argies? Argentina did not even exist when we settled there, we have toiled the lands for 100's of years.
Like someone else said the Argentinians are hypocrites their country was founded by the spanish who killed many of the native people.
We didn't kill any natives on the Falklands cos no one lived there.

The U.S.' CATO Institute actually had a good idea on resolution of the Malvinas question. Their proposal is:

(1) Argentina deposit $1 million for every man, woman and child in Malvinas into an escrow account in a Swiss bank (funds provided by a mortgage on oil futures),
(2) A *binding* referendum be held (not an advisory one subject to the will of the Hereditary Ruling Family of Britain),
(3) If integration passes, every person in Malvinas gets a $1 million payout - if it fails they get to keep their dirt farms and the millions are returned to Argentina

I do not wholeheartedly support this solution as I do not believe Argentina should have to pay $1 to reincorporate the national territory. However, as a compromise solution I think I could live with it.
