I love animals as much as the next man, but the poachers that everyone is cheering about because they where killed are also the victims, the poachers do not sell the product, but work for the seller of the product, desperately poor people will do anything to feed their families, so as the cheers go up, ask yourselves about the families that will now go unfed because the people who do what they can to feed their families are also dead.

we need to target the importers and exporters of the product, not so much the poachers, there will always be more to replace the last bunch of poachers who where shot.

Suspected poachers. A lot can be hidden in an alleged confrontation like this, such as getting rid of enemies and murder. Don't know what everyone's cheering about.

your funny.
If there in Kruger national park with a AK47 at night without permission what would you call them.

then if you shoot at rangers i would call them dead poachers.

Need to kill the poachers because they break the law of no poaching. The sellers need to be killed because they break the law of selling an internationally known illegal product on black market. The ultimate buyer of the product needs to get arrested, fined, or have their business (ie. herbal remedies, etc..) completely burned to the ground.

*RIP* In memories of the rhinos who lost their innocent lives *RIP*

hoora, death penalty to poachers! In most countries, you need to kill multiple human beings to get that. Wonder if their families feel the same elation as some on this thread do. Poor people do risky things to feed their children. I`m sure if most of the people in this thread were in a similar situation, and killing some animal and taking its horn could fix all their money problems, the last thing on their mind would be about preservation.

The poachers are killing rhinos because there is a demand for their horns. You can kill a hundred of these guys and there'll be another hundred half starved desperados to take their place. Most of the demand for rhino horn comes from China's growing middle and upper classes. This is where the real problem lies, demand = poachers.

Just a few days ago, 5 soldiers on rhino protection patrol were killed in a helicopter crash there. Corruption and greed is the biggest problem. They gave their lives protecting these amazing creatures. Hopefully, it will make more people aware, and cause more people to take an aggressive stand against the poachers.
