What is Hollywood trying to tell us?
Why is another move depicting the destruction of Washington appearing so fast?
There's another African American president as well in Jamie Fox.

Is there a message behind these releases?
What are your thoughts STS?

Because this is a Roland Emmerich movie. From memory alone I can tell you he's already destroyed the WH twice, in Independence Day and 2012

And why did someone give him millions of dollars to do it again? Because "Olympus has Fallen" just came out and studios like to compete with one another (There were two live-action Snow White movies last year)

Hollywood is hardly known for its originality, i can remember when natural disaster movies went popular loads of them appeared

but everyone from general Zod to the aliens in Independence day have had a good go at the whitehouse so its hardly a new target

I suppose the director thought it would be daring to depict such destruction to the bedrock of American values and law. It's become quite redundant over the years. Though I suppose it will shock some people, a chilled reminder to the event that so much devasted the american pyche. In the end though, it's all just thearpy for the masses. And a mild dose of behaviour manipulation.

Who wrote the screen plays? And did the Hollywood Execs have any incentive (money from above) to produce a movie or movies with DC going down in flames.
Both movies (white house down & olympus has fallen) look like propaganda and bad propaganda at that....They are either getting desperate or sloppy. IMO.

In Smallville Lex Luthor (Michael Rosenbaum) was possessed by General Zod.
