But I said government, not politicians. Politicians are just a small but powerful part of government. Politicians can be corrupt but most congressmen are there trying to make deals with others to get help for their area. Sadly the good ones have little power. Trouble is the help these congressmen seek is not really needed, if the government penalized big business for all their imports than we would be better off.

Bush seems to be a nice guy but the people behind him were not nice. He was a yes man, put in there by his families friends. I would be happy to meet him and have a cup of coffee with him. Heck, I'd even haul him out to hunting camp....Not Cheney with a gun though.

Politicians ARE the government. They are all owned. The Senate, The House, the State legislatures, the town halls, all of them. There might be a very very small minority that genuinely have the concerns of their district in mind. But there are far more that are bought and paid for.

Yeah Bush would be a fun guy I bet to hang around and drink beers with. But how the hell anybody could vote for a person who is so obivously very stupid is beyond me. Not that I think voting matters anyways. The people who can finance these politicians election campaigns are the ones that will always be catered to. Not the common man. As long as there are corporations, banksters and special interest groups with tons of money to get whatever laws they want passed, there will never be any will of the people in government.

I'm not saying that Obama would be "the one." However, he and his supporters are laying the groundwork with a rather frightening cult of personality, getting the young people to worship a politician, and getting people even more and more dependant on the state. (All of which happend with Hitler BTW). Creeping incrementalism.

Politicans are only part of the government. Let's not forget the entrenched and career bureaucrats that, while unelected, make decisions that affect your life every day. I suggest reading James Bovard's books where he discusses the threat to freedom that the entrenched bureaucrat entails.

I agree with you on that! But I hope you have an open mind and see this has been a build up of power (think about executive powers) by both parties. What we believe as the two parties of Republicans and Democrats have the same agenda for a long time now...

Who is behind the curtain and who will eventually step up is still the question. But I still think the frogs are not yet at a boil even though the water is getting pretty warm.

Germany today still drafts about 50,000 blokes a year so my German mate tells me. this enables Germany to field a 500,000 man army in 30 days. i was gobsmacked when told.

It is a matter of doing a quick web search and you will readily see that there are THOUSANDS if not MILLIONS of foreign UN troops on American soil training for Martial Law even as we speak. My sources? Like I said do your on research. Foreign troops on US soil do not live by, neither are they concerned with our Constitutional Rights. Not that I agree with the whole of it, but I was searching the Web concerning the end of the age and watched a (youtube) teaching by Russ Dizdar called: "The Black Awakening" It was very informative and interesting to say the least. There were 21 segments to watch regarding what he calls "The Black Awakening".

Humanity is full of cannibals...they might not actually "eat" human flesh, but they have no quarrel with preying on other humans. if the Gov said "we will pay you $2,000.00 a week all expenses paid...there is enough sick pricks in this country to have waiting lines...they will turn on their brothers in a minute.

If you do not think so...well bless you and your innocence...humanity has become a plague...they will eat their own in a minute if they think they might go without food for a while.

We used to do the same patrols, the same convoy escorts, the same personal security detachments for the officers rolling around sector. And I never found one to be "nice." Most of the time us regular army stiffs were looked down upon by these guys. And it really irked me that even though we were doing the exact same jobs, they got paid at least 5 times more than us regular army guys. Your experience with them might be different but I found them all to be holier than thou arses.
