Obama's $100,000 Children Spring Break vacation at Bahamas Atlantis, While America is Sequestering

I didnt vote for him or anyone else. But hey guys... he IS the president of the US, 'strongest/richest' country in the world. I would think with his 400k/ year position, he could afford to do this for HIS KIDS. As evil as this man is(possibly), I see nothing wrong here. Just like Bill getting sloppy in the office. Some things you CAN do.

I work admin at a brokerage firm and this is a relatively small expense. Even though most ppl are broke these days, myself included, you have to remember to calibrate to reality from time to time. $100k IS NOT ALOT OF MONEY. If some of you would understand that, you'd be less fearful on a daily basis.

I've been to the Palace of Versailles in France, I've seen just how insanley out of touch the Royalty was with the people. We all know what happend to them...

The problem with America is, we're all to busy holding on to whatever have to devote time to demanding change.

If it's his own money -- fine. I know, however, that the security is being paid for with my tax dollars. What's wrong with a modest 4 day trip to Disney World in a regular hotel room? What's wrong with Camp David these days? Don't they have a house in Hawaii?

Leaders gain respect by leading by example (unless your in the military, then it's just expected) I never ask anyone under me to do something I'm not willing to do myself.

No point in complaining about this.

Obama, being the savior of this country from the rich, evil, and outdated republicans, deserves to spend whatever money he wishes. Where were you when Bush, now irrelevant, was taking thousands of vacations?

Obama has single handedly swooped in and saved the economy from the damn republicans, who are still doing their best to stifle Obama and his attempts to return this country to the utopia it once was.

Oh, and the tea party are a bunch of nut jobs.

I've read through this entire thread and the arguments are almost carbon copies of arguments presented in other threads when constructive criticism arises regarding today's Commander in Chief... People criticize Obama because he is the current Commander in Chief!!!

You're somewhat new here, we all get it, you weren't here for the Bush Administration days on this site... but the old argument of "Well Bush did this while Obama does this" argument needs to stop immediately!

WE KNOW what Bush did, but the fact of the matter is, he is no longer in office! If Obama was truly a great leader, he wouldn't be spending a dime of tax payer's money on a single vacation. Even if his family wants to go on a $1000 dollar vacation, the money should come out of his own pocket, not the tax payer's; the out-of-pocket costs should include all of the fuel, food, security, attractions, and that nice coconut rum drink with a tiny umbrella in it.

My first week of ROTC nearly 8 years ago taught me to tend to the needs of my men before my own needs. If Obama was a true leader, he would follow suit of other true leaders; instead, he is nothing more than a status quo politician that has fooled millions of Americans.

The American people have far greater needs than sending Obama's daughter's to the Bahamas...

By the way, this was going to be a simple reply to you, but I feel the entire thread should take note regardless if the reader is Democrat, Republican, Independent, Libertarian, part of the Green Party, Constitution Party, Whig Party etc.

Bush had a total of over ONE THOUSAND days on vacation....ONE THOUSAND...that is nearly 3 YEARS of vacation during his 8 years.

Uhmmmm...Crawford, Texas isn't Atlantis resort in Bahamas or a nice Hawaiian island!

There's a difference between a 'home office' and a vacation. By the way, did you know the Obamas have taken 4 vacations in the first 3 months of this year already?

Unbelievable..!! If the US tax-payer is paying a half a million dollars for one night in a hotel there is something really, really wrong...with Biden or the people paying that bill...

For the people that voted for Obama, especially the blacks, nothing he does is wrong. In essence he's "getting his" while he can and vicariously for the rest of his race too. Obama's popularity rests not on his accomplishments (if you can find any), but on his heritage. In a parallel universe, with Obama being white, he'd still be back in Chicago as a two-bit lawyer stirring up the locals. .

I agree. I have told many people I know that if we want to change this country everyone needs to go out and vote for anyone NOT in office, regardless or their political affiliation. If we could consistently vote in non-incumbents, maybe we could flush all the S&^% out of the government. If every senator and congressman was looking at only one term, maybe they would try to do good for their constituency instead of themselves.

I honestly don't think these politicians are capable of understanding your logic. In their eyes, it's your fault if you're poor or have to work 70 hours a week. It's never their policy or what they do in office. You're simply not working hard enough or you'd be able to have $100,000 vacations every month like them. He manages to fill out his basketball brackets .. and golf more than any other POTUS .. and take tons of vacations ... and have tons of parties (at tax payer expense) .. take a tour of the left wing media like 'The View' .... etc etc .
