Sounds like you were really into Ace Ventura.

Yes, this does mean I won't be watching anymore of his movies. I once respected him for his deep philosophy. Now I see him for what he is: Yet another fake "enlightened" Hollywood liberal who spends his time and money promoting failed political ideologies through "comedy" by attacking a dead man.

Nice. Real nice, Jim.

It is something that many people refer to as [color=FFF45E]COMEDY.

Chill out people. The Anti-Carrey posts in this thread are ridiculous. Those of you saying because of this song you will never again watch another of his movies, sound like a bunch of little girls. Calm down for minute Cowgirls, and holster them guns, mmkk?

I've probably got a few of them wrong, but.........

[color=87FFE7]Some folks ride like the wind
with the whispering pines to guide them
and the burning light inside them
keeps them warm in the snow

others fear the sounds they hear
making ???? out of molehills
fill their hearts with ???? pine quills
they're dead and buried long before they go

Charlton Heston movies are no longer in demand
His immortal soul may lay forever in the sand
The angels wouldn't take him up to Heaven like he'd planned
Because they couldn't pry that gun from his cold dead hand

It takes a cold dead hand
to decide to pull the trigger
It takes a cold dead heart
and as near as I can figure
with your cold dead aim
you're trying to prove your dick is bigger
but we know your chariot may not be swinging low

You're a big big man
with a little bitty gland(??)
so you need something bigger
just to fill your cold dead hand

Imagine if the lord were here
and he knew what you've been thinking
would his sacred heart be sinking?
until the ? comes out to ?

And on the ones who sell the guns
He’d sick the vultures and coyotes
Only the devil’s true devotees
could profiteer from pain and fear

You're a big big man
With a little bitty gland(?)
So you need something bigger
with a hairpin trigger so
You don't wanna get caught
with your trousers down
when the psycho killer comes around
So you make your home like a Thunderdome
And you're always packing everywhere you roam
But the psychos win no matter what you do
Cuz they're gonna buy way more guns than you

and while you're stumblin' out of bed
They put 5 rounds in the back of your head
And you get depressed cuz the money runs out
so you put your own shotgun in your mouth
and your kid walk in and find you there
like a headless lump in your underwear
and they move the gun and it kills them too
and your wife just doesn't know what to do
and she takes a hand grenade from her shoe
and she pulls the pin......

And it's all on you and your cold dead hand.

Hollywood actors and their ilk have no more right to an opinion than the average man, however, they use their fame and wealth to inflict their beliefs on the rest of us whether we want them or not. Also, I can respect someone intelligent with an opinion that differs from mine, however, this man is clearly not trying to have civil discourse on the matter and has turned to mocking those who support their constitutional right to own and bear arms.
Something else that is shared by both, Actors and 'The Average Man', is the Right To Free Speech.

Do you actually believe that this song has the power to change people's minds, causing them to move over to the Anti-Gun Darkside??

Lol you tell everyone to chill out and say we are ridiclous for voicing our opinion, then in the same breath you say he has the freedom of speech

No, but even if it were true, that would have absolutely nothing to do with this.

Nothing else which he has done before, or ever will do, could change the fact that I think the song is funny. If you don't think it's funny, the so be it. I just don't see any reason at all for why anyone would let themselves get all worked up about it.

I just said that some of you sound like a bunch of little girls.

I did not say that you couldn't sound like a bunch of little girls. Just that some of you do. But I won't hold that against you, in the future.

Which is why I referenced Ace Ventura. Because of you think is vapid, uninspired attack on a man who did more for Hollywood and personal freedoms than Jim will ever hope to is funny, then you must find Ace Ventura hillarious.

Even if it had been directed at Ghandi, Santa Clause, or my grandma, I still would have thought it was funny.

Apparently, Jim Carrey isn't deep enough to do that either..

Jim Carey??

The real question here is…WHO CARES what the great philosopher Jim Carey thinks?

They’re all hypocrits in Hollywood. They make millions acting in movies that glorify gun violence and then they have the nerve to get on their high horses and lecture us about our morality.

Hey JIM!! Bite ME!!

Haha! Such hypocrites! Them playing a character using guns means they cant have their own opinion on guns and how they should be used! We all know if you play a character, you support everything that character does! In fact you assume that characters...uh... character!

Check and mate Hollywood!

Jim Carrey is trying to be relevant.
Jim Carrey is trying to be funny.
But he just comes across disgusting.

Charlton Heston was a good man.
During the 1960s and 1970s he marched for civil rights in the deep south.
He worked for civil rights for all Americans.
Doing that kind of thing in that time period could easily have gotten himself killed.

Carrey is an idiot.
