I was not aware that you were the end all source of facts on the matter. Thank you for setting me straight.

Still doesn't mean they won't try to pass this bill again and again and again and again....

I hope this never happens but if they keep grabbing guns, attacking preppers, calling patriot groups radical and the economy tanks, I think it is a possibility. But I do not think it will be within the next couple of years, they still have many things to get into place first.

The economic collapse will dictate the time table. It looks like the Euro could be history soon. If that happens, we will be looking at a repeat of 2008 squared.

I agree with your sentiments but why are you using past tense? The pigs are still feeding are they not? Obama gave almost a trillion to the pigs as the rest of us had to fend for ourselves. Now they cut air-traffic control budgets while vacationing and spending ridiculous amounts on duck penis size and such.

I've been waiting for it to begin since 2008 and this thread just seems like all the others of years past.

And just what makes you think the problems of 2008 ever went away? A stock market rally paid for by zero interest on savings, and rabid money printing. $600 trillion in derivatives in 2008, to over $1.5 quadrillion now. Another banking disaster in the EU shaping up. Real average family incomes dropping $5k a year. Spiraling food and fuel prices. A government out of control. Or could it be the same people who predicted the 2008 collapse are saying it's about to happen again, only it will be much worse. Hard to imagine anyone with a pulse not being able to see it for what it is, but history proves the majority always fail to see a pending disaster until it's too late.

Except Cyprus is getting bailed out.

Oops, looks like this is all false, as usual. So much for the beginning.

With regard to our own homes (another 2008 but worse and with different variables), I was told today that you can file a declaration of homestead. This means if something happens and youncannotmpay your mortgage (and it is your only home), they can't make you leave. The lady who told me she did this did it when her husband lost work. I am checking it out "just in case".

This DHS Officer lives (or spends lots of time) in Marcellus at a house on Sheehan Rd/Scotch Hill Rd, I see him on a weekly basis.

I'm sure it would be very easy to check the address and find owner info for the property at ongov.net

In fact, he was behind me today on the way home as we were both going 90mph down 695.

I also constantly travel the thruway in the immediate Syracuse area and have never seen a DHS vehicle sitting or with someone pulled over.

Maybe the DHS is the beginning of Obamas 1,000,000 man army.

Roughly about 2000 rounds per brownshirt Nazi bastard.

The point is you have a Federal entity taking over jurisdiction from local police.

Exactly. I knew this was starting two years ago when I watched our local police debut a new military style armored tank which they called their "swat truck". It had all the bells and whistles on it, except for a canon, and all of the ignorant people who watched it go by clapped and thought it was cool.

I do believe our already militarized local police will be eventually be re-branded as DHS as the fed takes over.

Nothing can transpire until the right to bear arms is abolished. Expect more and more school, mall, and baby killings. It's the only thing that will cause people to emotionally respond with a "demand" that the government "do something". You're right, OP, it HAS begun.

The shooting at Aurora and Sandy Hook was not enough to make Americans drop to their knees and turn over their guns. What's next then? Bring in the drones. Bring in DHS.

Let them do as they wish, those with the WILL to live will overthrow them. Sad that so many nowadays have lost that will. Even most whom are informed just await doom thinking there's nothing that can be done.
And to those religious bunch, you shall not murder(means lie in wait to shed blood) not that you can't defend yourself.
Wake up chosen ones! They're just 1%

I'm sorry but as long as I've been on ATS (10 years) these types of threads have been popping up. They're coming to get you, they're going to put you in fema camps, they're going to this do that bla bla bla.

All this does is scare people into the perpetual circle of fear and consumerism. I, for one, am tired of it. And I am glad to see that this thread doesn't have many flags.

It's coming, it's coming.....meanwhile it's years later and nothing has happened.

What are you talking about? It's already here, right in your face. Oh no, it's not become full blown yet, but did you think it was just going to happen over night? It's coming in baby steps and that's the way it's been since 9/11.

Contrary to popular belief in spite of the recent slide and sluggish economy, the USA is still the engine of gobal economic growth with Asia coming on strong and set to double in size in the next eight years.

The worst is OVER.

The time is ripe to start a new business and really get cracking.

Sorry, I disagree. In small town America where I live, nearly 1/2 of the businesses on main street downtown are shut down. They cannot afford to stay open. True value hardware store, in business for decades had to go. Many others. They are gone and no one can come back. Mom and pop shops, gone. But what is coming in the fall? Brand new super center walmart.

Grocery stores are dead, and only do business here at the beginning of the month when people get benefits. Sorry, nothing is on the upswing, at least here, anyway.

So, I've asked this question once, and then a second time, and have yet to receive a single reply. So I'll ask one last time.

Who is the author of this Before It's News piece? Why are they credible? Who is their high level source? Is there any evidence the latter exists and is credible?

If the answer to this question is, "I don't know," can someone find it within themselves to say so at least?

Peace.

You believe that Capitalism is the enemy because you believe in Communism and defend it in every thread, and because Communists hate Capitalism. Hating Capitalism is what they do, it's in the Communist Manifesto. It's a classic argument. Since Obama became Prez, there has been an unprecedented attack on Capitalism in the media and in Obama's circle, and on forums like this. Obama hired Van Jones, a self-avowed Communist to hold a position in his administration, and unelected position. He tries to go around Congress whenever he wants to do something others around him don't want. In other words, he feels everyone around him should just let him do whatever he wants, and without that compliance he just goes around everybody. There is a reason our Founding Fathers set things up with a balance of power in the branches of govt, so no one becomes dictatorial and seizes power.
Communists want a "dictatorship of the proletariat". Thanks but no thanks.

The truth is that the guy who said that the agenda is a One World Communist govt is right. It is what it is, they have just replaced the term with pretty sounding phrases like "sustainable development" (code for control of all the world's resources by an elite few and also rationing of those sources to the "useless eaters") This type of thinking is evident in people like Al Gore who feels it is his privilege to live in giant mansion homes by the sea while everyone else is supposed to live in cramped apartments and turn their heat down and ride bikes so as not to use up oil and he can do it because he can buy credits from someone who just can't afford things. Everyone has to be equal except him.
Those who are pushing Communism and Socialism the most in high places are themselves very wealthy and got wealthy off abuses of Capitalism and they won't have to suffer under the same baloney they expect the rest of us to deal with.
Communism will never be able to equalize things for everyone in the world. The sooner you realize that the better, and the sooner you realize that the administrators of such systems always take the good stuff for themselves while everyone else suffers.

Yes, this is true, I saw all kinds of places get boarded up within the first year of Obama's term and never came back, and more just closed down after that. His policies are destroying business in many ways. I saw even Chevy's Tex Mex close locations down. This is an atmosphere which is hostile to business, especially small business owners but many small and medium businesses and even some enterprise level business are suffering. The reason? It's by design because the people in charge are Communist/Socialist and Communists have always been at war with Capitalists.

I'm in the same boat. Spent my life savings buying a new house, and making it the way I wanted it. It was built like crap, and now it's $120k underwater.
I would think the declaration of homestead would be a state issue. But haven't done any homework on it. If they would have dropped all mortgages to 1 or 2% back in 2007, we could have avoided this entire mess. People would have stayed in their homes, and they would be buying stuff and stimulating the economy. The entire collapse was due to greedy banks, and all the home builders, and crooked loan companies. And I don't want to hear some dumb ass say "You bought it under those terms" bla, bla, bla. The entire market was rigged, and they all knew it. The tax payers got taken for a huge ride, and most of them are too infatuated with dancing with the stars to see what is happening.

Virtually all companies are still downsizing and cutting costs, so I think this so-called recovery is going to fizz pretty quick. In fact I would bet that much of the restructuring among corporations now is to batten down the hatches for the big one. There won't be any bailouts this time, because the debt is starting to challenge the Universe for growth space. The last thing the banks will be doing is foreclosures. Vacant property is trouble in more ways than one when it becomes an epidemic. They will be far more worried about preventing their own bank from collapse, and dealing with runs on deposits.

If only I received a dime for every time I see the title of a thread that includes 'IT HAS BEGUN'.. the most over used and meaningless phrase of conspiracy theorists. When I start breakfast in the morning I'm going to tell myself, 'It has begun'. When I get to work and start my work day I'm going to look at my coworker beside me and mutter the second most over used phrase of conspiracy theorists, 'Be afraid, be very afraid'. Then I'm going to say, 'It has begun'..
