I refuse to watch remakes. Well, that is a slight lie but i am sure you get the picture........what i really meant is that i have refused to watch a remake since i got 10 minutes into the newer version of the Poseidon Adventure.

new movies in general cease to do anything for me. i think the most recent movie i watched in theaters was hot fuzz. it was okay, but my attention span couldn't hold very long

I actually enjoyed the remake. Not as much as the original, but definitely had the same vibe. I think the original was better due to all of the chatter from the one locked in the basement...very little of that in this one, but I think it was a good homage to the original, and looks to be kick-starting the franchise anew.
