In Facebook post, PM Netanyahu explains his decision to apologize to Turkey over Marmara raid, normalize relations with Ankara. 'Changing reality requires that we reexamine our relations with countries in the region,' he says

"The fact that the Syrian crisis is constantly intensifying was a prime consideration," he explained in a post on his Facebook page.

Finally. Israel offers an apology to Turkey about the "Marmara" incident 3 years ago.
Netanyahu did it NOT because he thought it was wrong for the IDF to kill innocent civilians on board the Marmara ship but instead because of the increasing crisis in Syria. Politics

Erdogan seems to be ok with it...

Erdogan: Israel's apology 'offered the way we wanted' Turkish PM cautious in respect to restoration of diplomatic ties with Israel saying Ankara will consider exchanging ambassadors if Jerusalem 'moves forward in promising way'

Turkey and Israel need to get things together in their region. We shouldn't be over there for anything these days. If it takes an apology, whether meant for all the wrong reasons or not, as long as anyone in the middle east is working together It's a good thing in my opinion. If it comes down to it, let them worry about Syria together, they're no threat to the American people, so our government should stay the hell out of it.

Exactly right but the problem is we are already involved in Syria. And if Israel gets involved you can bet we will get involved.

I believe he told the truth for once

This game is all because of Syria ... and on the other side they want to represent an American type of Islam to the helpless people of middle-east who have begun their revolution

(This is kind of Islam that's going in Turkey right now. In this kind of Islam you can be a Muslim and you can have no problem with Israel at the same time and you can recognize Israel as a state etc.)

Unfortunately for Netanyahu "changing reality" requires far more than words. That window of opportunity is closing very soon.

Good luck.
