Why feed into the already unstable, America as a whole is the most fear fed nation on the planet, I see so many posts on this website about gun law, false flags and shady politics.

Unfortunately i joined ATS during the GFC, so my view is tainted but surely unifying the country would be more powerful than disbanding?

They would probably give it to them too, if they were only out of debt.

Question, and I know it is off topic, I do apologise, but I am really curious as to the answer......

If Texas split from the USA, would it no longer be the USA? It wouldn't exactly be united would it?

Would it just be north America?

What Gold ?

Do you really think there is gold in these banks . I would imagine the gold has long gone to private unknown bank vaults in the Bunkers of the Bankster Elite .
With all of the ( calling of the hands ) of the private Jewish Banksters that very soon something catastrophic will be happening like 911 where a lot of damning evidence and Gold went missing . The supposedly debunked Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion specifically deals with GOLD acquisition by Jew Bankers by means not exactly legal . The world situation proves the Protocols are real with out a doubt . Check them out .

Thanks Texasgirl. Of course. The accent is different! Still they are both down south. Haha.

It's the Alamo that is in Texas isn't it!

Now slapping wrists.

NY has a gold mine under it? Just goes to show how little we know over this side of the pond. No wonder they have an elevated railway, no chance of digging into the mine and finding all that gold. Haha.

No one can agree how to unify it. You have depending on the polls you pay attention to, between 60 and 80% of the country that are blind ideologues with directly opposed ideologies, and split down the middle. Then you have the other 20-40% of people that can't accomplish anything along the lines of compromise or new ideas because they have no representation (and by law can't have representation, you must be a democrat or republican to hold office) since they don't align with either party.

Hopefully this gets beyond the stage of being a bill, and actually gets actioned.

Sadly I can't see it working this time round, pressure will be brought to bare on anyone supporting it. However, as things get worse financially more sheep will wake up and eventually the overwhelming support for such a measure will make TPTB back off and let Texas have its money back.

From a perspective of liberty and freedom I'd love to see Texas sucede. That wouldn't just shake up America. Most of the world would eventually end up changing for the better after an action like that. Same goes for Scottish independence. I don't think the vote there will be for independence, but if it did it would shake the British establishment to the core and be beneficial in the long run not only for the Scottish but the English too.

Not worth new thread, but it's related.
Another Gold Shortage? ABN To Halt Physical Gold Delivery

www.zerohedge.com...

Based on a letter to clients over the weekend, it appears ABN Amro is changing its precious metals custodian rules and "will no longer allow physical delivery." Have no fear, they reassuringly add, your account will be settled at the bid or offer price in the 'market' and "you need to do nothing" as "we have your investments in precious metals."

Somethings rattling to much things concering gold has been happening past weeks... People are looking for a failsafe when SHTF.

As far as safely getting it back to Texas, come on, they can get a thousand trustworthy people and thirty armored cars in an instant there to escort the gold. I thought everyone in Texas had a gun. They will make sure the stuff reaches it's new home.

Not a chance of getting 1,000 trustworthy people. Well, not 1000/1000 at least not that I think a "heist" per se, wouldbe pulled off, but slim chance100% of it makes it there. Someone will not be onthr up & up.

There's 49 states still united.in that scenario, so yes, it would still be the USA, and it would be highly recommended to invest.in flag makers/sellers, as they'll all need to be replaced with 49-star flags. They'd make billions off the auto dealerships alone.

What would be interesting is the crushing war we would win over Texas when they are unable to repay us for the infrastructure we, as a Union of Nations built for them.

Home Land Security is looking for any incident to put us under Martial Law . If Texas tried to secede the USA there would be the Civil War part 2 . It would be a mess .

All I have to say is

I'm in So Cal and around these parts everyone is so caught up in the next new "reality show starring the gay Persians demanding rights, Honey Boo Boo, Kardashians, etc..." that it makes my stomach turn. All anyone cares about in Los Angeles, is "me" and that's not cool IMHO. "F--- the bum on the corner who's hungry...I gotta get mine" is the motto in L.A.. Then we ride by that man/woman everyday not giving a hot dam about their well being.

We got our dirty oil...but we don't want to share it or dig more...we got our gold, but won't allow anyone else to dig.

At least others are standing up somewhere and I hope Texas gets it back
They probably won't, but at least they (future speaking) tried and that means a lot!

Soon as I separate my hydro business, finances and taxes from the state of California, I'm getting the hell outta here, heading to South Africa to teach ten million and one ways to purify water

Great OP

I'm sure the fed will do everything in their power to keep it, regardless of who the rightful owner is.
