It's been pretty much proven that ghosts don't exist so I wouldn't worry. Was most likely a minor hallucination or a dream.

Really? Could you provide some documentation of this "proof" that ghosts don't exist?
I would really like to see this!

I have had ghost encounters since I was six years old... I'm fifty-five now, and still have ghosts visiting me!

I guess they forgot to tell these ghosts they don't exist.

OP, you had a visitor... you know what you experienced, no one else does. Don't let the naysayers make you question your sanity.

LOL...don't listen to that troll. They usually come on ATS, make an outrageous claim with no evidence to back it up then promptly go offline forever.

These folks are on here a dime a dozen.

BTW, I believe your story. I can tell the ATS community literally dozens of paranormal ghost stories that would curl their hairs. Things I have experienced and stories shared to me by my family members, people whom I have trust in.

Those first two videos are ads for a movie or something apparently, that came out in 2012 at Halloween. I haven't had time to watch the others yet. Don't get me wrong, I have heard lots of reports of these guys before and I don't doubt that they are real, but I think the first two videos are just ads with actors.

I used to see a cloaked shadow man wearing a large hat for years when I was a kid. It was always at night usually in Winter, I was allowed to play out until it got dark. I used to get the feeling I was being watched and when I looked in the direction I felt it coming from he would be their facing me from a distance. I was around aged 9 to 12 when I used to see him. At first I thought it was imagined, I thought that I was creating it in my mind because it would be pretty dark and quiet where I lived and easy to imagine things creeping around. One night I saw him and decided to get a really good look, rather than my usual glance as I'd turn and run home.

I was trying to see how solid and real he was, he seamed pretty solid but a pure black heavy mass, he then developed two red glowing eyes, but they were more like small lights than eyes. I was terrified and ran home. I eventually confided in my friend. She told she sees him too, with the hat, cloak and eyes. Then one evening when I was walking home something inside told me that he can't hurt me but he wants to scare me. My fear of him eased and when I saw him waiting at one of his usual spots (also the same area my friend had seen him), I just wanted to laugh at him, it felt so silly he would be their when I couldn't care less. I told him in my mind I'm not scared and I never saw him again after that. I told my friend that he's just trying to scare us and she said she knew. She also stopped seeing him after that. I can remember him clearly, this entity does exist but I do wonder if it's simply a dark menacing energy that has been shaped into this form by the minds of those who feel its presence.

I never got the feeling this 'man' had any power, but his ability to shaken you seamed to be what he wanted. I've seen a many odd things in my life but this one was creepy until I was able to see him for what he really was. In my opinion a lost dark energy, it's only purpose is to survive by feeding on fear.
