I heard something about new dual-servers?

A couple new tweaks behind the scenes to squeeeeeeeze just a bit more juice form this tired dual-Xeon box. We're adding a new quad-Xeon database server in a few weeks with a direct-optical network connection to the existing server. At that point, one server will be for web-serving, the other will be for the database. We should really rock then.

A whole server for JUST the database?? WOW!

I dont even wanna know how much this costs!

So when will ATS make the jump to a two way or four way Opteron box? That would definately be a phat setup to keep things moving smoothly, but probably a bit costly to consider anytime soon

You just read my mind, but a Quad Opteron system can run upwards of 8000$. I seriously doubt that ATS can afford that with our Google Ads

thats why we have Simon...

I may be wrong...but I believe that it's the people who DON'T joing ATS and simply surf the site and follow the ads and links that help to pay for the equipment...
