How would a government prevent information about intelligent extraterrestrial life? Well, sufficed to say, the government really likes to pay off
people, and expunge evidence.
And just because the Vatican's chief astronomer made a statement about the possibility of extraterrestrial intelligence, doesn't necessarily mean
that people are going to quit religion. I know lot's of people that think that the possibility of aliens exist, but they said that since there is no
proof, so they continue to believe in god, instead of caring about science, and there is a correlation between religion and education.
No, meteors aren't necessarily precursors to asteroids, but neither are funnel clouds, but a funnel cloud can be a precursor to a tornado, and
comparing the former to the latter is certainly applicable to this discussion as there are a very large amount of funnel clouds that do not become
tornadoes, and there are many meteors that do not bring asteroids.
