I think both USA & UK music is and has been amazing, pioneering and just awesome.
I'm not sure one is better and there shouldn't be a contest, it's stupid.
Both UK and USA have had so many great bands, guitarists & songwriters that for every one you came up with, there is one to counter.
Now I love world music, all types of music too, but the UK and USA ha e had more success than all other nations put together, let's just appriciate and cherish that fact hey?

I watched the Grammys and then I watched the Brit Awards.
It would seem more American music is played in England than English music played in the USA. The Brit awards had nominees that I had never heard of, and quite honestly, I thought sucked.
Oh, you can take back Mumford and Sons. Bluegrass is an AMERICAN thing. Ungh. And I hate how everyone likes them. There are so many more tallented true Bluegrass musicians in America.
In general England produces better quality actors though.
