As the topic clearly is about tax Wall Street wealth to "balance" the budget where the majority of that federal budget is spent on corporate products NOT defense related.

What? Again.

Take the needed money from the haves to give to the people don't.

Who are 'the people don't'?

lol

neo = taxes for big military = sweet
neo = taxes for health care = evil

Actually a one percent tax on all wall street transactions and a consumption tax are the only two ways I can think of that target EVERYONE that deserves to be taxed in the first place.

No the simple fact social programs SS,medicare, medicaid can't be funded that way people get more out than they pay in.

Compounded by age progression that increased those cost right along with the healthcare costs.

That 1% and consumption tax is a pipe dream.

I support the 1% tax on wall street.

People are free to I don't nor will i ever but people are free not to support it.

why cant corps pay their fair share?

and the easyest way to make the wealthy pay their fair share is a 1% tax on transactions,

it would lower speculation and stabilize the economy

only because the wealthy pay less tax than they traditionally have in the past,

and because corps ore offshoring their profits without paying tax

you are intentionally ignoring the fact that if this money was taxed as per the law,
there would be no fiscal crisis.

stop blaming the poor and look at the graphs

its clearly tax avoidence and artifically lowered upper tax rates that are the problem

CLEARLY

Only the rich?

Right!

and because corps ore offshoring their profits without paying tax

Because they aren't bringing it here money is taxed when it leaves this counrty money is taxed when its brought back.

Yeah someone is clearly ignoring half of this country is not paying anything in income taxes and since they arent that fiscal crisis is never going away.

stop blaming the poor and look at the graphs

Guess I should be blaming the rich then everything is right as rain, but people can't talk about that fiscal crisis without being labeled a hater of the poor.

There are 16 trillion "whats" about it.

If social programs were solvent which they never have been maybe it would be a different story,

The fact is quite a few people have no problems what so ever taking from a minority and give to the majority is disturbing.

you do realise thats how civilization has advanced to this point,
where do you think the internet came from?

a 1% tax on transactions could pay for R&D (like the development of the internet)

Yeah the net came from defense spending something we would not have under "social spending".

The fact is, quite a few people have no problem whatsoever, a minority stealing from the majority, is disturbing.

The problem we are spending too much damn money

while that is an issue to be addressed,
austerity for the poor wont help the economy recover,

there are NO examples of austerity HELPING an economy.

when the largest earners pay little or no tax, and services are cut to the poor it increases the crisis.

quote for effect,

when its a minority taking money from the majority, you have no problem (corporate entitlements)

when its the minority paying their fair share to the majority you have kittens (social welfare)

what you forget is what happens when the majority of people cant survive.

look at austerity in the euro zone, that is what happens when all the profits from society go to the top 1%

collapse follows

So which largest "earners" would that be?

The largest recipients of social programs? (ss,mediciad, medicare)

Newsflash that aint the rich or corporations contrary to the dogma in this thread.

Social programs do nothing but recycle wealth in to the economy it does nothing to introduce new wealth.

Because they are consuming more wealth than pay back.

You're saying that the majority of Americans don't earn money? You realize that Big Business is stealing in multiple ways, tax dollars, right? Bailouts, million dollar tax returns to billion dollar in profit companies... off-shore tax dodgers, manipulating the market, creating bubbles that's all okay with you?
