Remember the furor that surrounded Y2K and the big rush to get everything Y2K compatable?

Remember that almost all the major Corporations and Web Sites placed all their trust in a relatively few SoftWare Programming Companies in order to prepare for that big event.

What are the possibilities that these Programs allowed them to place a "Front Door" in all those businesses - a front door that only they have the Master Key to?
