Hey all! Wanted to share a couple pics i took today of the sun with a rainbowish halo around it. Taken around 2pm Central Time.
First bonus, as you can clearly see, is the presence of "Niburu, Planet X or (insert clever doom moniker here)". See that little spot? What else
could it be???
Kidding of course...
What makes a halo around the sun or moon?
Halos around the moon – or sun – are a sign of thin cirrus clouds drifting high above our heads. They are a sign of nearby storms.
They do say that the middle part of the US is getting some less than desirable weather within the next 24 hours or so
Second added bonus: one of the coolest things I have seen...snow geese...flying through, well, snow! Took this while driving a lonely straight stretch
of highway in Southern IL.
This is zoomed a bit...the white specks are the geese
Enjoy the pics!
