When your not even full time?

I bust my arse.

I pay for my own medical.

Like WTH.

Like, why did I even bother to sign up for this job, if I'm worth nothing to them.

At the rate, who hires me full time gets me.

This is pathetic.

How can I be in double time, if I'm not full time?

Talk about a love hate relationship.

You kidding me?

Funny how I'm invalid on the website now.

Got to love my job.

Messed up.

Why do I bother?

I'll be talking to a lawyer..

This # is a little #ed up in over a week.

When I get barely any hours.

And, I'm always busting you out as a cleaning machine.

So wrong.

Isn't funny when the insurance you pay for comes,

There is no way I 96 'd my hours.

And the so called raise, still isn't on there since October.

Dear Manhater,

Clearly you are upset. Can you give us some specifics. You have a job you don't like that is asking more of you and keeping you part time. Been there and done that. The world is not Club Med and don't expect it to be. The question is what is the best you can do with what you got. I won't even attempt to claim it is fair because I don't believe it is. We reward bad behavior, does that mean we should be bad? Should we add to the problems? Or should we try and make things better?

I know this lady that works for a major grocery chain. She is a checker there and no matter what time I go, she is usually there. So I asked her about that. Like, you must be raking it in... Union, Overtime?

She told me that she had been working there for 13 years as a part time employee, so there are no benefits. No Union, no medical, vacation, and no overtime because they keep her working short stretches so she doesn't get it. She works plenty of hours a week but never more than a few hours at a time. Thats why I always see her there.

I was dumbfounded. I can't say the mega chain, but think of one, they are all the same. So thats how they are enslaving employees these days?

Sorry Manhater, I would be pissed too. But you know what the company will say... "You can always work somewhere else".

No.

I will be talking to lawyer tomorrow.

There is no way in hell, I maxed overtime of 96 hours when they don't even put me on schedule for it.

I clock my schedule time.

It's written down.

And it doesn't even add to that.

The only job I had that paid double time was union, and it was the rate I made when working after midnight and before 8 am (unless you came on before 6 am) even if I only worked a few hours that week.
Why are you complaining for making double your hourly rate?
Or does double time in this instance mean something completely different?

I will.

I'm not too afraid of that.

Done with the BS.

I'm not their fking slave.

They can find someone else to do their job.

My 2 weeks are in.

Plus, I'm part time. I'm not in a union.

They will be lucky if I show up to work.

Ugh. No Words. Not right now.

And got to love the way you lie to to their face.

AM/PM error?

Daylight Savings Time error?

I dunno, without seeing your time sheet and data entered, it's impossible to say.

They took half my check.

Plus, I have to pay for Obamacare.

Not right.

That's all I'm saying.

I don't.

That's why it's frustrating.

And I am used like a slave every-time I work, because their too lazy.

The attitude, of .. It's beyond me to do it.

This is same attitude you have taken by your arguments in this thread.
It's beyond you to do the work they are offering you.

True about that.

Really, I can't believe people have sunk to this level.

I'm going to the labor board.

1st. time, I was written up because I complained about prejudice, the day after, I received notice about it.

2nd time, I'm now 96 hrs overtime, because I stated to a manager her time clock was over 30 minutes.

BS.

And this time, it's on my check.

So, no there's no prejudice going on.

Sorry, but it's lawyer time.

Thank you, but I go beyond the work unnoticed that gets credited to others. That's why it's annoying.

Most folks right now are happy just to HAVE a job. Sure, the employers are going to take every advantage of the workers...because they know there are at least 1000 people ready and willing to step in and do your job.

I'm working again, after months of looking...and I have a Masters Degree, Bachelors, work experience with major corporations, and a solid work history...still took me months to find a job, and even this job has me "underemployed". Pay is certainly not commensurate with my education...but right now, just happy to have a steady paycheck coming in.

If you do go the lawyer route, make sure you have enough savings to tough it out until you (hopefully) win, if they decide to can you.

You also said something about a raise that you haven't seen on your check. Sometimes companies look for ways to let you go by making stuff up. Its happened to me before. As a away to cut costs they hire a new person that they can pay less but first they need to lay off somebody else and make up infractions or embellish the little ones in order to make your work record look bad enough that you can be fired. If you can document all that on paper you still need a ton of money to file and fight it in court.

I would take the pay stubs to the Labour board if they aren't giving you due wages, there is an issue they can deal with. You do realize that will just make your position there more tenuous, right? Sounds like they are jerks there anyway. Unless its just one person that is doing this. If you can prove that...

One other thing... if you fight with your employer in court that gives pause to the next company that considers hiring you down the road. If you can, best thing is to just look for another job. Then leave.

I read it wrong. I made 96 dollars in double time. It's not 96 hours. I'm an idiot. Still doesn't make sense because my check is like so low. It's not even $300. So how I can be in double time when full time employees are making more than me?
