First poem on ATS.

Forgive me I'm fueled by insomnia here. I wrote this out while talking to a friend on the boards here. They liked it, so I'm gonna give it a share and see how it goes over.

If I could sing one last lullaby,
before they take me in that hearse,

one last verse, before I bless my curse
I'd beg you to take me, far from here.

on my last day, would you set me free?
Alone to dream in this melody.

Moonlit pearls dance in the sky,
forever alone, shining so bright.

Thank you all for the warm words, and I intend to write another piece here when I have some time and inspiration!

I've actually invited another to join me in writing a longer piece. That is not set in stone so I'm not promising anything to anyone reading ha ha.
