It's impossible. It's surely not a lizard
It's just a pair of cowboy boots.

I don't know but the legs certainly look photoshopped to me.

Well, if the legs, or boots, or boot-like rocks, are on the original NASA JPL download, then they are on Mars. I wish I were on Mars, or could send some specific people to Mars.

I can't eat Jesus man. Unless he is in a communion wafer.

That Mars lizard is awesome! Of course there are fossils up there. Mars once had an earth like atmosphere.

This lizard doesn't cut the mustard.

Your lizard is in the Matrix, the Op's is munch better.

It definitely doesn’t look like a rock to me. It is long, has a head, body and tail, with two very obvious legs with feet (which resemble no stone formations that I have ever seen in all my years walking along rocky shores and hiking through the backwoods.)

It may be a picture of one of our deserts or it could be Photoshopped or the creature may be a prop. If it is a rock it is certainly a bizarre formation.

Come on guys! none of you doubters are seeing it because none of you are using Internet Explorer with x150 zoom and a magnifying glass!...you silly billys
(Sly joke at Arianna there - sorry lol)

Also, where is the 'king of rocks-that-look-like-lizards' Arken when we need him? - isn't this his domain?

Had the boyo not been looking right at Curiosity, and probably thinking 'yum yum' and showing a pose for the camera, I would have said a rock too. So there you go, Arken wuzz right after all...except in this case.

Every day on my drive home from work I see a lizard basking in the sun.
It's actually a piece of shredded tire, but man does it look like a lizard. Gets me every time.

It probably is just a rock as everyone has been quick to point out (a little too quick if you ask me) but what are rocks?

My goodness people you just seeing what you want to see.Same as looking at clouds and they form faces or whatnot. The rocks are just forming shapes of reptiles and you can do that with rocks on the ground on earth.

Ok the whole Mars Rat thing is a point less distraction. I suspect something NO ONE else has pointed out in the field of view from Curiosity may be remains of a crashed Russian attempt to land on Mars back in the 1960's It sure looks like a Mercury era style nosecone capsule but with some sort of winglets on the upper part. Anyone else care to guess what this odd looking item is lying next to a large boulder?
Two sets of perfectly circular shapes forming what appears to be the base of a nosecone CANNOT be natural.
