It's called common sense, something people are lacking in this day in age greatly. Move on slave...

And who told you to say that?

Good boy, do what the television says...

Yes, I have. God, these people stick to their guns, no matter how hollow and hypocritical their "points" are.

It's here because this is a rant forum.

ATS is a good place to get perspective from a bunch of very different people who aren't afraid to be critical.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh sometimes i hate posting here... stupid thing deleted all i wrote....

First off it is a suprise and refreshing to see that a 19 year old can see some of the stuff that is going on out in the world, that is tearing it apart....

Don't worry what people say, just move on and let them simmer in their disgust of your picture. People can and will complain about anything, their morals/ethics be damned. None of that really matters.

Well off to go find some PIE!!

Too many people these days are "offended" by other people... Well TOUGH quite frankly, you live in a world full of other people, get over it, the world doesn't revolve around you!!

Kinda. Thats the ingrained fear of a mad Southern mother...

I dont curse at all.. ever. BUT, since I read about saying curse words loudly eases pain... Im considering becoming a potty mouth.

Keep in mind, if you put it out there, it's out there...so something to consider when Facebooking... Nowadays, even employers are checking a prospective employee's page, etc. to see if they will gel with the company culture, so think about what is on your page.

It was at first, that's why I made a different facebook account just for my friends. That's why I posted the picture, its a statement. I got tired of my family starting drama (and even lawsuits) just because they don't like what I have to say on facebook. The pic itself is a loud and clear message; I don't care what you say, I'll do as I please.

This pretty well sums up the attitude that is being displayed

ETA because it's one of the things I want to rant about:

Nudity IS offensive when its people YOUNGER than me, flashing their breasts around like they're sharing stone.

It's SHARON Stone, not "sharing" stone....if you are going to reference something or someone, at least reference them correctly.

So I posted a picture on facebook of me, flipping the bird. Just me, wearing spikes, my hair styled the way I want it, smirking like a hardass, flipping the bird. People FLIPPED out!

Sounds like you've got the wrong people as your Facebook friends.

Try being more selective, and worry less about popularity.

I don't like the "Sharon Stone" thing. When my friends and I watched Scream, it sounded like "Sharing stone."

We joked about it. Get it? Sharing stone... like gold... bartering... conspiracies and survival...

So, that's what we say. Sharing stone.

BTW, the south park vid was cute, but totally wrong. If you don't like my attitude, get in line. I don't live to impress anyone. The point of the thread was to point out the hypocrasy in people--how THEIR wrong doing is okay, and MINE is not. In their eyes, anyway.

That's all it is.

That only explains why you didn't know it was a person's name, you could have just admitted it instead of trying to cover for it.

It's not totally wrong at all, it's how I see you. You don't get to dictate how we see you. As far as getting in line, no thanks, not worth my time and trouble.

As was shown by another poster, the irony is that you are showing Hypocrisy (with an i) while trying to claim they are hypocrites.

I'll always read your posts in the voice of cartman and see you as him all dressed up like in the video now

Lol. Because you're all-knowing? Because I'm ranting about these people doesn't make me a hypocrite.

I DID know it was a person's name. When the actor said Sharon Stone in the movie, he acted like he said a funny ass joke, but it wasn't funny to me... until my friends and I heard "Sharing" stone. But it really doesn't matter if you believe me or not, so...

It's not totally wrong at all, it's how I see you. You don't get to dictate how we see you. As far as getting in line, no thanks, not worth my time and trouble.

Yeah? Then why bother posting on my rant? You're essentially "getting in line" with the others who don't agree with me.

As was shown by another poster, the irony is that you are showing Hypocrisy (with an i) while trying to claim they are hypocrites.

How, exactly?

I'll always read your posts in the voice of cartman and see you as him all dressed up like in the video now

Wow.

Yeah, I know I can't let it "get" to me. But... it's hard, when its people close to ya.

People are stupid.

trouble with flipping the bird on photos, is it makes you look either a typical teenager who feels the need to look like some lame "pop star" and wannabe rebel - which is sadly very conventional and ironically usually what said poser would like to avoid..
or
someone so self conscious and uncomfy in their own skin that they cant just be relaxed when photgraphed.

or both
not a good look either way .
obviously FB is a major issue here too, it's just full of people trying to manipulate and define their image to others.

i dont mean this as a dis, but others will be thinking this when they see such pics

Why? Because I'm ranting? Ranting comes in all ages. You're funny, though. Real cute.

That all depends on who sees the photo. I've only got two profile pics, and one of them is me, smiling, looking relaxed and BARELY goth. In fact, I've used that pic as my profile pic on ATS.

My other pic is meant to be more extreme.

Seems like too many people are reading into the "Oh, she's wearing spikes and flipping the bird, she's a damn devil worshiping child" assumptions. Seriously?

I'm not supposed to judge the borderline-porn popping up on my facebook, but my profile picture is offensive?

Get over it.

the obvious answer here is to get over both facebook and other peoples reactions.

and dressing up and flipping the bird can hardly be considered extreme, whether in your own eyes or someone else's,
