I see.

And exactly when did you become a solar astronomer with a degree in this field?

Last I looked, you thought coronal holes were stargates, because our star is a "GV2 Rim Star":

www.abovetopsecret.com...

It's not just the lack of magnetic fields in one are of the sun that might mean a magnetic flip. There are MANY other things involved (all of which you are not paying attention to). Mainly the fact that when the sun's magnetic field does get ready to flip the entire field subsides.

Here, do some reading on it, it might help you out:

Now is not the time to have the attitude " Oh, so what? The sun has magnetic lines all

over the place and nobody cares."

Aside from you, nobody does care, this is just another of the 21st is gonna be the end bits like the OPPT claiming they are all ascending today to a 5D world, i mean really, c'mon..

1 event at a time. For now just stay grounded on the fact that the poles are flipping on

our sun and it usually happens every 11 years.

We can discuss ascension later.

Yes, i did do some reading. I heard a rumor that the guys at NASA are experts.

I could be wrong.

No one is arguing with you about whether or not the sun's magnetic field does flips.

It does. Has many times. On a pretty much 11 year old cycle ON AVERAGE.

And it's about time for it.

What we are questioning is: YOUR authority on it.

Doesn't look like it's ready to flip to me. And the NASA link you keep posting is from 2001. So nothing recent.

There is also the mater that, when it does flip, it's not going to affect us in any way, shape or form..

As such, that makes this subject OFF TOPIC. The topic is about Mayan date being some time this March, end of the world, ascention, etc, etc, etc.

Go make a new thread in Space Exploration if you are that convienced that the magnetic field on the sun is going to flip, and do so within hours.

And once again it must be asked. So what? As you yourself have pointed out the poles flip every 11 years or so. So far it hasn't had an effect on Earth so why is this time different? You just keep repeating the same things over and over again making it sound like the Sun's poles flipping is some Earth shattering event without giving any context as to why.

With the end of the OP falling on the 31st, that sure sets up one hell of an April fools day joke.

Lets agree the sun is about to flip its magnetic poles, then we can move on the

ripple effects on Earth.

If you actually read the NASA article, it says that the magnetic poles flip

every 11 years "like clockwork".

Not this time. Do the math. It took 12 years + 5 weeks.

Any explanation?

yes...it's called AVERAGE.

It does not do it EXACTLY at the same time, every 11 years. It does so with enough consistancy that it can be average every 11 years. Sometimes it's shorter, sometimes it's longer. but the average for it is 11 years.

No big deal.

And as you have pointed out, it has done it......with no ill effects on Earth.

So WHY are you even discussing this here?

Great ! Keep reading. The article also goes on to talk about the magnetic poles

flipping on Earth but not as regularly.

No shocker there.

Please link the wording that says this above. I don't remember reading that in the link you posted, so where does it say it was a year and half late. I'm not saying its not true, I just want evidence. Thanks!

Just because the Sun flips does not mean the Earth will. There is no correlation.

The link just threw in the fact that the Earths flip from time to time but it does not relate to the Mayan calendar and if you think so, explain how.

The day isn't over yet.

It looks like the SDO database is stuck in March 20, 2013.

However, if you stay on the first page then March 21, 2013 photos appear!

March 21, 2013 AIA Composite 211, 193,171 appears to be the most revealing.

Follow the corona all the way around. Can you spot the south magnetic pole?

Please quote for me what I am missing. I did not read it was a year and half late. When was it late? In 2001? I just need clarification to what I am not seeing and or reading.

Thanks in advance.

Well all I see is bright daylight and no darkness.

But of course the average time frame for the suns poles is 11 years. Sometimes a little shorter, sometimes a little longer.

That is why it is called an average.

But all through the past it hasn't caused any big effects on Earth, like the laughable 3 days of darkness.

And yes there is evidence that the Earth's poles "flip".

Gradually over tens-hundreds of thousands of years. So what?

It's not "late"

What he can not get through his head is that the 11 year cycle is a AVERAGE of solar cycles that have been observed.

Please have a look:

List of solar cycles

We've seen them as short at 9 years, and as long as almost 14 years.

The sun does not flip it's poles like a second hand moving on a clock.

And this person just can't get that through their head. It could be 2 more years before it does it. We'll know when the magnetic fields collapse.

Ummmm.......okay.

Sun does a FLIP February 15, 2001. Looks great.

Add 12 years. That's February 15, 2013.

Today is March 21, 2013.

So............12 Years + 5 Weeks.
