Wow. That just happened didn't it?

Your facility for demonstrating an utter lack of intellectual fitness is only outweighed by your overwhelming propensity for gibberish.

... but, whatever.
I have no gods to tell me I'm not suppose to judge people.
Your personally targeted, judgmental, paternally favored bias trumpeting misogynistic nonsense was unsolicited, ie; unasked for, and regardless your presentation and offering of such, you can keep it.

So sad, but kinda hilarious too. Two dimensional cardboard cutouts can indeed live and breathe and wlak among us.

Amazing.

I am not asking for what other Muslims and Christians think.

I am asking what other people think about Muslims and Christians.

As to you; Don't worry about what other people think.
Your faith is YOUR faith.
When you wake up in the morning and look in the mirror, do you see YOUR face, or do you see the face of one of these other posters here?

If you want to follow both the Christian and the Muslim faiths, then, by all means do it.

Both of them come out of the root Abrahamic tradition, all the product of sweat stained filthy desert nomads, all worshipping the same ONE god, so, why not cover all the bases?
Be a Jewish, Christian, Muslim.
If that's what makes you happy and that's what you think your imaginary god is telling you to do, then, by all means do what your imaginary god is telling you to do.

Read Life of Pi, or just watch the Movie.

The main character in that book was Christian, Buddhist, Muslim, Hindu, or something to that effect.

As it applies to faith, what does it matter what anyone says you can or can't do?
Believe whatever you want to believe, even when someone like me comes along and tells you it's all make-believe.

In the end, you're going to believe whatever you want to believe regardless and even in spite of what some folks tell you.

Make your own choices and your own rules. You are the one that has to live with your own self.

You sound sweet and reasonable
but you are leadiing people astray like a witch.

see;
you have no power, whatsoever
the only existant power, is the spiritual world, who will judge one, after one died here.

You may say what you want
but all you do, is leading souls astray, like this.

Which is a horrible Offense.

now
you dont believe anyway what i say here
- but im telling you its true.
And, spiritually speaking, you are under me.

You know the truth as you have been told it is.
Do you really know the truth?
Do you know God IS the Tree of Life?
He stands at the top.
He can do whatever he wishes to.
We were created in His image.
We have the power to turn our wishes into reality.
But with all of us doing that at once, it becomes superficially chaotic.

But is it really?
Is nature chaos?
Is the constantly buzzing forest or powerful storms of the sea chaotic?
Or are they just a PERFECTLY executed machine?
Meant to look like chaos, to disguise our true nature, that we ALL come from God and to Him we ALL will return.

No.

im sorry - OP is closer to the truth as you.

Your wanted opinion is that ' theres no spiritual world above us, at all '

Boy how wrong you are !!

..if you d only have a glánce...you d cringe

But since it is your own choice to believe 'in nothing '
[ which is caused by the Dark itself]
dont go 'advicing ' others.

hm? what the hell does this have to do with what I said?

honey i m not going into discussion with you.
Be sure that a male would lift you to Heaven, adoring you.
That is what Male do with female.

because she is his very own inside.

But if that female withstands
and searches another head of hers
who rules her
then she will be the enemy of Male

so
heed what i say
find your male - and i know not many fit that bill -
to find the goal you was made for.

bless

Dude .. you seriously don't know who Jesus is. Jesus is God Incarnate. Muhammad was just an admitted thief who murdered his political opponents. A Christian has no need of Islam. If for some reason a Christian wants to believe in Islam, then he or she would have to dump his/her own Christian beliefs in order to buy into Islam. If that's what he/she wants to do .. that's their business ... But it's IMPOSSIBLE to be a Christian and a Muslim at the same time and believe in both. The two are theologically diametrically opposed.

Why is it impossible to believe they both made mistakes?
Or not mistakes, but they both were deliberately lead to mislead us.
To make us believe that Jesus was not God.
To make us believe that we are not.

Jesus said "A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things." (Matthew 12:35 KJV)

If God is Good, and Jesus is God, then by Jesus bringing God back to His people, he was bringing forth good things.

MUHAMMAD DID THE SAME EXACT THING.

Though not the same people, they are the same God!
Muhammad was tested. So was Jesus. They BOTH had failures.
Not every so-called Christian, even the ones who believe Jesus was God, is a good person.
And not ever person of Islam is hateful of Christians.

They both speak mainly of Love, but Muhammad brought back the fear of the UNBELIEF in God.
Jesus gave us the gift of His grace. Muhammad only warned us against not accepting it by practice. Because he didn't accept Jesus as God, he missed a part of his message, but the message is still there!
What is the message?

LOVE EACH OTHER.

I have told you before how much I care for you.
You are very close to Him, even of you don't realize it.

You are completely correct. They are fighting over labels.
I believe in neither Christianity or Islam.
I believe in God.
I believe in His Messengers. All of you.

See this?

This is what religion does to people... one person comes here, asks a simple question, little did he know that all of a sudden theres both sides at each other's throats.

And even when someone (actually it was me) who simply contests something completely unrelated to the "religion topic" out of nowhere has to deal with some religious fanatic with half a brain who couldnt even read what I wrote and just blindly attacked for no apparent reason to defend his or hers "almighty god"... wow...

Religion does get into people's head... in a bad way sometimes.

Oh the inner peace it provides must be worth a lot... really

is to accept the concept God said it is.

And that concept is
that Female represents all the Attributes [ like love, earth, etc]
and Male represents " the Authority over those same Attributes ".

meaning,
Witches are women who have no male as head: but Evil Masculine as 'head'.

female needs His male as [ spiritual] head
or Evil will be her head

- i agree immediately, that there arent [many] males who are capable of being a females head
- yet they should

but this tells only the incredible mess we got into
devised by satan himself

How can you accept God and give all the credit to Satan for creating Us?

I know!

People are dumb sometimes.

I wish they would use their eyes and see! Use your ears and hear the truth! (not you, just people in general.)
Love is the only answer.
God is Love.
I love Jesus and I love Muhammad.
Anybody who does not is worthy of neither. =/

Of course not.

But I do know from firsthand experience how you can be inches from God and not even realize it.

You can believe in both and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.. When it gets down the thick end of things, the warning/message is the same... As for Jesus, Muslims respect him as a prophet (can't say the same for Christians).. I have found both useful for certain topics..

Some of you Christians are worse than some Muslims.. I really can't believe some of the garbage that comes out of yous. Sometimes I think your very own book in Revelation is speaking about you hardline Christ followers.. It wouldn't surprise me one bit.

The Moon God crap is a hoax

Mohammed done what he did to bring people back to the one god.. No-one understands what was happening back then and for all we know, he was doing the right thing for his people before it got to rat race like the west is right now.

I don't personally have anything against any follower of Islam that I know -- there are several nice ones here on ATS.

However, to answer the direct question of the OP, which is:

Is it possible to be a Christian and a believer in Islam?

No, it is not possible.

Why? To be a Christian is to profess to the Nicene Creed, which includes the statement that Jesus is God. He is not a prophet. He is not a wise teacher. He is God incarnate... period.

Islam does not teach that, it teaches that he is not God, in fact.

So if you believe that Islam is proper teaching, then you are not a Christian, because in order to accept Islam, you must reject the Nicene Creed.

Where in the Quran does it say that Jesus is not God?
Serious question. It's a long book.

Also, where in the bible does Jesus say "I am God. You must worship me or die?"

The book of John says "In the beginning was the WORD and the WORD was with God and the WORD was God... And the WORD became FLESH and dwelt among US."

If Jesus was an incarnation of the WORD, why aren't you?

Maybe it would be helpful to see the bible in a different perspective.
That is.
Read it like Jesus was talking to himself.
The Gospels try to downplay it, but there is no mistaking "Please Father, if it be your will, let this cup pass from me unto another. But if it be your will, then I will drink the cup you have given me."

The scared child did not want to die.

THE SACRED CHILD DID NOT WANT TO DIE.
If he was God, why would he plea with himself?

I tell you. Yea, yea, this is the truth.
Jesus was talking to God, but he was also talking to the disciples.
Jesus, though Holy and Blessed be he, did not have the freedom of a man.
He was the only man who recognized the tyrany of Death and sought to conquer it through the ultimate sacrifice, yea, God's very name died with Jesus. Why? Because when God created Man, he sought to create something like himself. Angels are good, but they only do what they are told. Sadly, just like Jesus. If you would have it, Jesus was an angel, and the only angel that had to die so that all might live. But the men who lived here were not ready, and never would be unless EVERY SINGLE ONE saw His Sacrifice.

Jesus did say "I and my Father are one." but this only means what it means! There is not three Gods, there is ONE GOD and he is THE WORD.

Jesus was made by the Virgin Mary and John the Baptist. Mary... John... Uh...

It is a puzzle why an all mighty god choose an illiterate, 40 year old camel herder from a cultural and geographical backwater to spread his message amongst humanity.

Thats' the best part... from this geographical backwater came the strongest brand of Abrahamic monotheism, which survives in all its vigor to this day. Christianity was unable to spread in the Middle east, despite having a 600 year head start... and today, Christianity has pretty much collapsed in Western society... or exists under a godless secular rule... where the freedom to mock God is enshrined as "freedom of speech".
