What has happened to the UFOs?

Actually it seems there was a pretty substantial UFO flap in Missouri in 2011 for a period of a couple weeks at least. Anyone remember that?

Seventeen independent witnesses reported a large, unidentified object flying at low altitude over several locations in Kansas City, Lee's Summit, and Raytown, MO, between 8 and 9 p.m. on October 4, 2011. The reports were filed at the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) website. The witnesses described a similar object that was extremely large with multiple lights in a triangular shape on the bottom side. The lights were facing down. Some people reported that the object tilted 90 degrees on its side, then took off at a high rate of speed.

One person said that the object hovered just 30 feet over the Raytown water tower near 63rd Street and Raytown Road. The object then rose up 15 feet, flipped on its side 90 degrees, and took off at "light speed" and out of sight. There was no noise and there was a black contrail behind it. He said the size was massive. The witness said that some people came out of a Wendy's restaurant to view the object, and that others were stopped on the road looking at the object.

On October 3, five witnesses reported a massive UFO over I-70 and other areas in Kansas City at approximately 3:30 p.m. There was a traffic jam on the highway due to an accident and people were watching and filming the object from their cars. These recent reports follow 62 UFO sightings in the Kansas City area in the past 90 days, making 84 reports total during that time period. Most of the reports remain unexplained.

I paid quite a bit of attention at the time. Some of the reports coming into MUFON were quite incredible.

I noticed this to. IMHO There was a real surge of personnel investigation using mainly the internet. And probably like me what they found was very scary. I think it is sinking in to all those that have researched properly, and as with most things its easier to live in ignorance then accept the horrid truth.

After doing your research you have to come to a conclusion don’t you.

What some people have seen what some have experienced. Not all of it is hoax!

So what's your conclusion.

The truth is out there but its harder to find these days as "they" have flooded the internet with all sorts of rubbish. And the next thing is to take away as much freedom from the internet as possible as to make it easier for "them" to manage the lie.

I have been here at ATS for almost ten years. And have tried to be logical and sceptical.

I think technology caught up with the phenomenon. Back in the 50's, 60's, 70's, seeing was believing. These days, people automatically know that all still photography is suspect, as is most video and film. People are more educated with regard to obvious fakes, and are naturally less credulous.

That doesn't mean UFO's are BS, but maybe, just maybe 99% of them always have been.

Vancouveer Skywatcher Records UFOS on Video Open Minds

Vancouver seems to be this month's hotspot for UFO sightings as UFOs are being reported all over the area. This particular 4 minute video shows some intriguing lights in the night sky that the witness, Charles Lamoureux, says are "tumbling" end over end which rules out typical satellite behavior. Just two days ago, a UFO [was] spotted above North Shore mountains, claims Vancouver photographer. Vancouver is no stranger to UFO sightings and back in 2010, Reports of an unidentified flying object hovering over Cultus Lake in Chilliwack spurred a discussion among Vancouver Sun readers who submitted several photos of their own.



Montana State University’s Ardy Sixkiller Clarke Compiles 1,000 Accounts of American Indian Contact With UFO Phenomena Skeptiko

She spent 20 years collecting stories of Native American experiences with "Star People" and compiled her results into a book (Encounters With Star People: Untold Stories of American Indians) and says that those accounts show a deep, spiritual connection between Native Americans, the other side and the Star People. This connection is unique to Native American tribes and is something that is not often mentioned in more mainstream UFO accounts. Meanwhile, Kevin Randle compiles the basic logistics and details of Steve Bassett and the Citizen Hearing on Disclosure, including the $600,000 price tag. Did the Hearing reach its goal of bringing about full disclosure before the end of the year? That remains to be seen.

People got bored with UFOs. They fell out of fashion, which is why you don't hear about them much these days. If they really were alien visitations, they'd still be prevalent regardless of public interest. But no, they come and go according to popular preference.

With the advent of radar, laser technologies, WMDs, and hypersonic fighter craft, UFOs appear to have become more scare and shiftier. It's survival for them. Many probably exited the planet and oceans in waves in anticipation of our WMDs or have adapted to other modes of existence.

Irrespective of where they appear to be and even if 99% of what we see is explainable stuff, that 1% is a mighty huge number, especially considering the millions of sightings we have had over the past 80 years alone.

I think people simply aren’t reporting sightings. There are too many who ridicule straight away. I have had four sightings, three of which I was with at least one other person, and two of those the other person saw it too. The first one I saw fly in over downtown Columbia, SC while outside smoking with a co-worker. It was round and silver, not saucer shaped. It stopped and then, after a few moments, suddenly took off in the direction it came from without turning around. My co-worker looked at me and said “don’t tell nobody”. The second one, also round and silver, I was standing outside smoking, another job, when I looked up and saw another round and silver object fly by at a high rate of speed. A few moments after that I saw two military jets fly by after it.

The third one I saw, again round and silver, while riding with my mother. She was driving and looking at the road, while I was looking up at the sky. It was not moving very fast, and I watched it until I couldn’t see it anymore. The last time, about five months ago, I was outside with a friend and co-worker, smoking again, when she saw one and said “look at that!” It was huge, long, grey, and slow moving. It had no wings and it was just gliding across the sky, at about the altitude you would see a low flying plane.

I do not know who or what they are, but they are not ours, and they are not us from now. None of these instances did I even think to try to take a picture with my phone. What would be the purpose, anyway? To have someone who was not there attempt to tell me that it is just a bug captured on film? Take a look at the forum and see how quickly these accounts are trashed and “debunked” by those who have no point of reference. In seeing them, I was struck with awe and wonder. They have not gone anywhere, look up sometimes and you just may see something. I am forty years old and have only had four sightings, so they are rare. Each time I have seen one I was not trying to see one, but every time I try to see one I see nothing.

An old hubcap flung and captured in black and white, stories of giant hairy aliens, floating brains, guys getting up close and personal with aliens, flown to there planets taking pictures of dinosaurs and gods eye replaced by youtube videos of chinese lanterns, testimony vids from people you would not buy a toy car from,ufo balloons and bad cgi.........yes the romance is definetly gone.
