Ran as a presidential nominee for the Green Party in 2000. Worked on Nader's campaign in 2000, 2004 and 2008. Activism, apparently. Guess he was at Occupy Wall Street last September at Zucotti Park:

The most wonderful thing just happened as I was trying to find a preferred version of Seven Spanish Angels just now: my little 8 month old puppy was sleeping beside me, and was with me while I was searching and listening through the songs, and he let out this wonderful and beautiful hooowwll as though he were right there singing right along with the various musicians..including Willie Nelson and it was just adorable and now I do believe he is firm country-music loving puppy.. I just can't get enough of it.. totally beautiful..
