The North fired these missiles hoping the South would be trigger happy, retaliating before they understood the trajectory and 'uselessness' of the missiles.

Then, when SK missile hit NK batteries, the North can claim an attack and unleash hell. And hell (all those artillery pieces) will devastate a few cities quickly. Then, its all on for young and old in Korea and the middle east.

Thankfully, the SK and US do not want the trigger point for major war to be a pointless charade in NK. So they held back..

Now, if NK actually fired and hit something, like a town, a port or something then well, they deserve to get spanked.

This is all hinging on how much the NK generals care about being blamed and held accountable. NK fired first or SK fired first.

The depressing point, is no matter who fires first, NK is obliterated. So it doesnt matter who starts it, as long as its started.

Kim Jong-un is just trying to see how far he can push us. The Chinese are involved as well. North Korea is a Chinese proxy. Their strings are pulled by the communist party

Un er DPRK has but one goal a One Nation under DPRK, Un rule. This is the war they want , they know they can not get it through peace SK would not surrender, nor will the US just up and leave, and as for China they will come to the Aid only if SK /US make the first strike or come in as support or as to defend their border. China is the wild card, will it? wont it? if it does how will it come in? troops?, nukes?, aid? or all? No one is wanting to find out, DPRK is hoping they do,...all

China wont be doing anything to help NK

Nk is at this time an embarrassment they exist only because they are a blocker to USA but realistically money ties assure bit by bit it doesn't even matter if USA is there and NK is very dangerous

Then that's all they'd need to get a nuke to Seoul. Scary prospect. Of course one that small wouldt decimate a city, but it would take out a few blocks and be a radioactive mess. Several small warheads would be the biggest atta

Boy o Boy that lil fat monkey boy just keeps pushing his luck.

Would he really want to go down in history as the idiot that destroyed

South Korea and brought about the end of his people and maybe

the rest of the world? Just so he could keep up his life style.

Exactly! Same way the South Koreans and Japanese are working on our behalf.

This is the Chinese using their old investments as leverage.

The only reason the North is still around to this day is because of China.

I am not sure if NK is really that stupid to trigger a Conflict with SK and the US or if they might have knowledge that China will back them.

Because if they know China wont back them in this conflict they must be blind to not see their military infrastructure would be paralysed in a few days.

Ofcourse they have lots of Soldiers , a insane amount actually:

The KPA faces its primary adversaries, the Military of South Korea and United States Forces Korea, across the Korean Demilitarized Zone, as it has since the Armistice Agreement of July 1953. As of 2013, with 9,495,000 active, reserve, and paramilitary personnel, it is the largest military organisation on earth.[5]

I have high doubts about their Moral and Equipment , i could be very naive and wrong though.

No doubt they would win on the ground , but if they would be bombed with long range tactical rockets for a long period , they would not be able to sustain.

I hope this will not happen , it would be very big not even to mention the build up and "regime change" because China will have his say in this , they will demand it any way.

But the situation in NK is beyond sad , and we might never see the full picture of the horrible things done to the people.

They may well be blind... but ego and ignorance are extremely emboldening forces for the likes of Kim.Just look at Saddam
he thought he was going to have the "Mother of all Battles" with the West... but the reality was he was routed in a few weeks, and air superiority in minutes. NK is slightly different, but never underestimate the United States military ,,, especially when the gloves are off!

China would definitely have a say if their was a regime change. They only really hold onto NK because its a big crazy dog in the yard. They want the barrier. They would let NK fall and wouldn't join them in war (openly) as long as there were some agreements. They would want some land to separate them from the western backed SK.
