"One Day Left" by Michael Moore

This is it. ONE DAY LEFT. There are many things Id like to say. Ive been on the road getting out the vote for 51 straight days so I havent had much time to write. So Ive put together a bunch of notes to various groups all in this one letter.

What are your thoughts?

"Michael Moore Is A Big Fat Stupid White Man". Buy the book. That's about all I can say on the subject.

Jemison

This subject involves his closing letter to the American people/voter, NOT David T. Hardy & Jason Clarke who co-wrote a book.

Selective ignorance at best

If these are truely are his "final" comments, then we won't have to listen to his fictions anymore. Yea!

Who gives a rat's arse what that lying windbag says, anyway.

He is laughing at his followers, all the way to the bank.

- Clearly a stack of very upset people on the US right do as they are continually going on and on and on and on about him and his work.

He is laughing at his followers, all the way to the bank.

- No, you see this is a sad little dig usually coming from those who clearly don't understand the principle of royalty and how most people are perfectly OK about wealth - even large amounts of wealth - generated in this manner.

That's how come people can keep adoring their favourite 'stars' even when they become rich. Haven't you noticed? Duuuuuh.

One thing is for sure it certainly is a damn sight more up front and honest than the 'donations' we all make when we buy good and services from those republican (or for that matter Democrat) supporting businesses.....or when businesses or corporations rip us off to make their guys rich. Funnily enough that kind of wealth is never going to be widely popular. Boo hoo hoo, get over it.

You don't like Michael Moore? Good for you. It's a free country-ish. But the idea that he is laughing at his supporters is pathetic and a very very lame jibe from someone...... with a ridiculously overblown case of the sour grapes? Hmmmm?

Though msot of hsi writing tend to be drivel, he is alot more upbeat and positive than Ive seen elsewhere.

Your vote does count. if people got off their lazy asses and voted, your vote would start counting.

Its true, nothing scares a politician or elected offical more than a mob of angry voters threating them with termination of their comfy jobs if they do not do something for us.

Even if he is a sissy pinko commie, he is far more amusing and intelligent and optimistic than the rest of the herd.

Its a nice message.

The only serious rebuttal the GOP could muster to Moore was "he's fat".
That doesn't change the fact that Bush should be tried under the Trading with the enemy act that nailed his grandfather's little Nazi banking business with Harriman Bros.

If you buy the book, buy it on ebay or a rummage sale. Somewhere where he will not get another red cent. Better yet, go to your local library!

If i am gonna read the book, Id much rather put money in Moore's pocket than that stupid ass kissing Bush-But licker, O'reily.

But I dont really need to read the book. Im just happy that a liberal counterpart to Rush Limbaugh exists, and the pleasure I get from conservatives in their paranoid irrational rants against moore is reward enough.

I am glad to be in a country that can produce such extremes, so the two can fight over their petty issues and i can gain entertainment.

Amen. I am glad that there are people like Michael Moore willing to put themselves out there for a cause.

Discredit Michael Moore as much as you want, but he is responsible for making people ask questions during this election season. He made many people who are normally complacent and apathetic question the leadership of this country--which is necessary in order for democracy to work.

Many of my friends and relatives who don't vote, don't pay attention to anything but terror news and don't care about politics have become more informed and more involved in this election after watching Fahrenheit 9/11. And not all of them are Kerry supporters either. Call his films sensationalist garbage, but you cannot deny that they are compelling and promote passionate responses--one way or another. For a film to evoke such responses and to compel people to act--and people are acting--whether it is to write letters to editors, make their own opposing films, have heated discussions, and most importantly, cast votes, is a major achievement.

We can only hope these are his final words

That Socialist (geez id go so far as to call him a commie) but then he'd have to share his food with the rest of the country, so maybe he isnt a commie has done nothing but mislead the ignorant portion of voters in this ountry for to long.

His half truths and blatant lies (attacks) on Bush have done nothing but further cement my position as a Bush supporter.

Michael Moore is a pompus arrogant arse. Nobody knew who he was until he made those totally uncalled for comments on national television. He is loving every minute of getting rich and famous off a national tragedy.

Shame on you...Mr Moore!

It's funny how the blantant lies, half truths, un-American, all the shame on you's for getting rich Michael Moore from a national tragedy etc etc (we've heard em all).

Yet,

President Bush appointed former Secretary of State James Baker III as his envoy on Iraq's debt. No problem right? Well, James Baker also owns Baker Botts which is currently defending the Saudi Royal family including the Bin Ladens in a $1 trillion lawsuit filed by the families of September 11 victims.

Hi-diddly-o neighboureenos!

bah-bah-bah little sheep!

(a) I think that it's Bush's clique who's getting rich and famous off the national tragedy

(b) As popmpous Moore might be, the centerpiece of his movie was a plain depiction of Mr.Bush doing absolutely nothing when the nation was under attack. Mr.Moore did not invent this. It really happened -- a complete failure of leadership. And if Mr.Moore made it public -- more power to him.

I have nothing against Michael Moore, and I think that the only "crime" that he has committed in America is to speak his mind and to tell his side of the events in this country in his own way.

People take it any way they want to and interpret his view depending on their political preferences but at the end he does open a door to a difference view of reality, Michael Moore style.

I am not afraid to speak my mind and I like people out there that does not either.

I think I like it Michael last words.

- Hmmm, personal insults. Nice to see such a great start.

- Rubbish.

Michael Moore had already made several (including award winning) films, written and had published books and had written, produced and made several TV shows. Actually.

Just cos you say you never heard of him hardly makes it so for most.

He is loving every minute of getting rich and famous off a national tragedy.

Shame on you...Mr Moore!

- No. This is plainly garbage. Michael Moore was already very wealthy before 9/11, actually.

I'd say the real and genuine shame in all this is the utterly blatent manner in which you and people like you will use this 'national tragedy' to attack someone who dares use their rights to free speech to forward a different point of view.

Michael Moore may be all of the things mentioned in this thread, regardless he definately has power over all of you to have you lathered up to the point of insult over fact or theory

Let me say that am not a Bush or Kerry supporter.

I hate that SOB. He told flat out lies. It has been proven, many times. A large number of the people he edited into his Bowling flick have come forward, very angry about the creative editing done to their words.

As much as any of you love him, to deny that he lies is pure stupidity and ignorance. And two wrongs dont make a right, so you cant just point out the lies from the right to justify his actions (and, of course, the right does have more than its fair share of lies.)

I loose respect for people when they support him, but not because of my dislike for the guy and his politics; because they cant see past the lies, the deception, they follow his every word like sheepole. It is quite pathetic to watch. I really hope this guy goes away.

All it takes to make these liars go away, whether they be left or right, is to stop paying them attention. Reject the lies, people. A lie for your cause is still a damn lie!

i completely agree with the above.

His material is written by Greg Palast, Greg Palast is a supposed "respected" BBC journalist, in reality, Palast is a Democrat, peddling whatever his NWO masters feed him as fact. he's likely as much of a pigeon as Moore.

these people are as dangerous as the neo-cons, in that, they'll lock us down for "our own good".
