Governor Nixon is stacking the lies on this issue. We are supposed to believe that he got a letter from Janet Napolitano - Director of DHS, and he didn't bother to read it?

Think about it. Janet is thanking him for breaking Missouri law, what a peach. She needs to go, too. Add this to her naughty list.

Nixon denies knowledge of DHS letter thanking him for REAL ID implementation

Even if you are not from Missouri you will like this.
As Governor Nixon sees it.

Kerry Messer with Missouri Family Network, a political watchdog organization, had some good news to report via Facebook today.

MOST ALL SCANNING STOPS !!! Effective immediately - all non-commercial driver licensing documents are no longer to be scanned in Missouri's 183 local license offices (fee offices)........ Source document verification at the fee office counter will continue as in the past but without scanning! THANK YOU to the House and Senate leaders and Sheriffs that have helped pressure the Department of Revenue to start cleaning up their act !!! CITIZENS: We MUST continue pushing for a full investigation and disclosure if the scandals DOR has been perpetuating for the last several years! This is only the first step.

and for those with CCW:

CCW Update: All CCW related document scanning ceases effective this morning (7/1/2013). DOR will continue processing CCW endorsement cards through the end of the year, at which time they will be processed through you local sheriff. This change of venue depends on the Governor signing the bills that's date the changes. But for now ALL CCW document scanning has stopped. (Note that a couple months ago Gov. Nixon announced that the sheriff's CCW Certificate would no longer be scanned, but all other papers have continued to go into the new scanned documents database (until this morning). We believe it is now safe to process your CCW if you have been holding off to avoid scanning. However - many may chose to wait until next January to apply for a CCW in order to avoid the Department if Revenue altogether.

As required by Federal guidelines CDL and non-citizens of the U.S. will will continue to have their documents scanned.

Like Kerry said, much more needs to be done. Biometric facial ID is still an issue for starters.

Last week staff members from the Governor's office ignored a subpoena to testify in a Congressional hearing about this DOR scandal.

I fear that it's not your documentation that they want, or ever wanted. It was all generated by them anyway. What they want is your biometrics. Until that is stopped, nothing has really been achieved here. Its going to be almost impossible to police them getting a hold of your Facial Recognition unless you can get them to go back to old photographic methods that don't involve High Res Digital Photos.

I agree. The facial biometric system is the one and only thing for which the DOR acknowledged accepting DHS funds. That is their line in the sand,

I'm glad montana passed the law that blocks the ID requirements.
Hopefully it will stay that way.
Its going to come down to a challenge in the end though, the govt will push
and sooner or later the state will cave, but until then i shall enjoy the freedom of
not worrying about it.
