An explosion in Tel Aviv, at an open-air marketplace, caused many casualties. A witness described "a tremendous explosion at one of the stalls."

An explosion has rocked an open-air marketplace in the Israeli commercial capital, Tel Aviv, causing many casualties, emergency services say.

The cause of the blast has not yet been confirmed. Ambulance officials say there have been "dozens of casualties".
