I'm sure that the things up there are very different... Not only, rocks, sand and red sky.

And come on who has stated or even implied they're green. They appear to be exactly the same colour as the rocks and martan soil.

Interesting photos OP but alas I fear all we are looking at are rocks. I'd absolutely love to be wrong and I do believe animal life could live in the quoted Martian conditions, let alone the true artian conditions whatever they are.

To the person stating radiation as proof against life, one word Tardigrade. You need to do some more research on Earth biology, let alone about how evolution has an ability to adapt lifeforms to prevailing conditions. Indeed I could even imagine a lifeform dependent on such radiation for their survival. We anthropomorphise and 'Earthify' far too much when thinking about other forms of life.

They eat martian rocks. Martian rocks have space powers that allow the mars lizards to endure the lack of real food and the lack of an adequate atmosphere that reduces the UV.

So...Is it a Lizard and a tentacled life form?...Probably not...but not because life cannot adapt to UV radiation.

always a good read arken! the alleged lizard does infact look like a lizard to me aswell, and i also have a very hard time believing it could be a rock formation based on the curvature, the angle of the leg in relation to the body and the way the head is off to the side. .

to those asking why NASA/JPL/GOVT are not making a big deal about all the super neat stuff curiosity is certainly finding it should be obvious that's due to the disgusting stage of humanity we're currently in. I don't blame them though, the majority of people couldn't handle life on another planet (especially something like a reptile/lizard which exists here and has a certain stigma around it regarding reptilians/satan/what have you)
not to mention the huge blow to lolorganized religion, good luck explaining to billions of sheeple how and why there's living creatures on another planet and getting them to understand the Universe doesn't revolve around us :p

Probably the same way in that earth has fish that live in acid, creatures that can live for 1000s of years, frogs that can bury themselves and awaken 100s to 1000s of years later. Adaption is kinda cool and freaky.

I look at the picture
Now, if I want to see a lizard, I can clearly see a lizard. sure.

But, if I want to see rocks, I then see how the lizard is actually just two rocks.

Classic pareidolia at work I am afraid. But keep up the overwatch..who knows, maybe one day something clear cut will be found.

However, on Mars, I am thinking any evidence of life (current or previous) will require a shovel and a magnifying glass

yes, the atmosphere, gravity, radiation etc. a lot of things are different on Mars.

At first I saw the "lizard" but now that I look at it more closely, here is what I see.


Note: The middle (or purple) rock is distorted/cut off by jpeg artifact.

This photo is from Curiosity's Sol 173. If this is a rock as we are being told by nasa. Why does it have 4 legs that can clearly be seen?
