I was reading some articles and found some interesting facts, no wonder why we can’t afford anything in the United States when the White House is out of control spending money we don’t have
So let’s begin Here are the brief summaries you can read the full articles for yourself

The Nation Review, Charles C.W. Cook reported that the cost of the Inauguration was roughly $180 Million dollars. The parties and balls that followed the inauguration totaled roughly $45 million, paid entirely by private donations to President Obama’s inaugural committee.

Obama family vacation cost taxpayers this Christmas. $1,474,200 to be exact.

Gohmert, referenced press reports pegging the cost of a recent Florida golf outing Obama took with Tiger Woods at $1 million. He also cited press reports saying 341 federal workers could have been spared furloughs if Obama had stayed home

The executive mansion is not in that much trouble, of course. It’s certainly not in sufficiently dire straits for Air Force One ($181,757 per hour) to be grounded, or to see the executive chef ($100,000 per year) furloughed, or to cut back on the hours of the three full-time White House calligraphers ($277,050 per year for the trio), or to limit the invaluable work of the chief of staff to the president’s dog ($102,000 per year), or to trim his ridiculous motorcade ($2.2 million). Austerity may be the word of the week, but the president is by no means in any danger of being forced to live like the president of a republic instead of like a king.
.
Taxpayers spent $1.4 billion dollars on everything from staffing, housing, flying and entertaining President Obama and his family last year (2012), according to the author of a new book on taxpayer-funded presidential perks.

In comparison, British taxpayers spent just $57.8 million on the royal family.

Author Robert Keith Gray writes in “Presidential Perks Gone Royal” that Obama isn’t the only president to have taken advantage of the expensive trappings of his office. But the amount of money spent on the first family, he argues, has risen tremendously under the Obama administration and needs to be reined in.

“biggest staff in history at the highest wages ever,” a 50 percent increase in the numbers of appointed czars and an Air Force One “running with the frequency of a scheduled air line..

“There is no mechanism for anyone’s objection if a president were to pay his chief of staff $5,000,000 a year,” he told The DC. “

Aside from a salary, the president gets a $50,000 a year expense account, a $100,000 travel account, $19,000 entertainment budget and an additional million for “unanticipated needs,” he notes

The president can to appoint high-paid staffers without Senate confirmation: Obama has 469 senior staffers and 226 are paid more than $100,000 a year, according to the book. Seventy-seven are paid as much as $172,000 per year. He also has appointed 43 “czars.”

The president can vacation for free at Camp David: Gray writes that each round trip made to Camp David costs the taxpayers $25,350. It’s also estimated that the combined transportation and personnel costs for a Camp David visit are $295,000 per night

The president’s dog gets its own high-paid staffer: “Bo made the news when he and his handler were flown to join the president on vacation in Maine,” Gray wrote about the Obama family dog. “It has been reported that the first family’s dog handler was paid $102,000, last year.”

Looks to me like POTUS don't care about the US people as long as he is ridding that grave train, how can they get away with all this spending if we are broke.

The DOG has a chief of staff? A 6 figure staffer for the damn dog?!

Umm... My dogs have a staffer too. He's called our Son in other conditions. Those two have a couple daughters to give the dog TWO staffers and help teach responsibility and duty to something other than themselves. The little life lesson for the two would apparently save taxpayers 100k. Creative thinking will get the nation everywhere!
