How is what I said a non issue?

Because it is contrary to want you want to believe?

Gabby and her husband own guns.......hypocrites.

It's a non-issue because of all the folks calling for gun control, she and her husband admit that they are gun owners but want the laws strengthened. Even the NRA calls for a common sense approach, yet they advocate assault weapons. Obama calls for gun control yet poses in photo ops shooting a gun to get votes.

They are all hypocrites and truthfully we all are to some extent. Pointing out others hypocrisy is an attempt to point them as bad in some way. It's an act that humans carry out in an attempt to gather confirmation from others that they are good and make them feel better about themselves.

Why not have a more constructive argument about the solution instead of throwing stones? Way to much of that here and in the world. Thats why we are all such a mess.

So, your post is really a symptom of a bigger issue. An issue we arent willing to tackle. Gabby and her husbands acts are therefore a non issue IMO.

We have all gone through the whole debunking of polls. When a company claims to have the "heartbeat of America" by sampling a thousand people over the phone, it is not a true gleaning of what is actually going on.

Sales numbers of firearms, membership in the NRA and CCW permits are all on the rise, in fast and drastic numbers.

The mood of the people is more defined by sales numbers then a phone polling.

Was just reading her facebook page. Thats a picture of her when she was invited by law enforcement to shoot weapons she help them to get funded. Not hers. Just another photo op. This thread borders on being ridiculous.

There I a reason why the found fathers did not put into the 2nd amendment to exclude certain people from firearm ownership.
The right is not about hunting. Plain and simple.
They knew that if given, the Govt would label people "crazy" if that was the provision included.

There is something dangerous when the Govt deems something like this, has the power to define it, and has the power to enforce it.

The Govt is supposed to have a limited amount of power, and the individual the most freedoms. Not the other way around.

The gun shop owner stated that he does not sell guns for political commentary.

That's interesting. An American denied his right to buy a gun because someone doesn't like what he's going to do with it, even while being totally legal. Did he say what other personal reasons he has for denying people the right to buy? Skin color? Political affiliation?

Doesn't matter. Private business can make that choice.

Was Gabby a good shot? I mean, did she have a lot of practice with her own guns before she went to a photo op to help the police get more guns?

Looks to me like she feels real comfortable holding an AR 15. Really don't think it was her first time.

If she wanted to help the police get funds for guns, couldn't she have been photographed selling tickets to the policeman's ball?

So her husband buys a .45 and an AR, then says they aren't his. She is holding an AR she says is not hers. Hey, wait! They are liberal politicians. Now we get it.

Hold on.....was just sent this: Leaked yesterday by Arizona radio host James T. Harris via an anonymous source, the above photo is of Congresswoman Gabby Giffords holding an AR-15 back in October 2010. The photo was taken during campaign season by an anonymous source who is of law enforcement — the purpose of the photo was to ‘toughen up’ Giffords’ image. The photo was well known in the Arizona law enforcement community but had remained publicly concealed until yesterday.

The reason for the photo leak was due to a separate photo released last weak of Gifford’s husband Mark Kelly mysteriously purchasing his own AR. Mark Kelly’s hypocrisy upset a number of law enforcement officials.

Acording to Breitbart News, the anonymous source said, “Giffords and Kelly came across with a different demeanor in 2010. To me, it seems like they’ve done a complete 180 because of what happened. And with the latest controversy — with Mark Kelly doing what he did with the AR-15 stunt — this photo needs to be put out.”

Both Gabby Giffords and her husband Mark Kelly recently created the gun control Super PAC Americans for Responsible Solutions.

Dont know much about her, only what I see and hear on MSM and internet. According to her bio she and her husband are gun enthusiasts. Sounds like she shoots forrecreation but I really dont know.

Sounds to me that the Giffords clan is into the big money making scheme familiar to the socialist regime. You could say there are twenty million reasons why Gabby Gifford and Mark Kelly went from pro gun to anti gun. There's money in that there anti gun plan?

Giffords and her husband, former U.S. astronaut Mark Kelly, have turned to Houston trial lawyer and Democratic donor Steve Mostyn to act as treasurer. He gave $1 million of his own money to help kick start a campaign launched on Tuesday calling for what Giffords and Kelly describe as common-sense measures to curb gun violence.

When one looks at the full photo of Gabby Gifford holding an AR 15, and the paper target behind her, you kind of notice how young the teenager is featured on the target. I mean, the boy on the target can't be more than eitheen or nineteen years old Just saying....

Also dont trust any of this so called leaking. Everything I've read says he bought the AR15 to prove a point and that once it was delivered he planned on returning it. Whether the point he was making is a valid point is arguable but I cant imagine he or she is warped enought to be out buying an assault rifle while being a figurehead in a movement to strengthen gun laws. If my wife was Gabby and I got caught buying an assault rifle for my personal collection I would find my bags on the curb when I came home from work.

Just sayin....

I think thats the stereotype that people in charge see as the threat. Funny thing is, the young thugs are more of a threat to each other than to suburbia folk. Stereotyping. Sad. We went down the wrong path so long ago...

Democracy at work. Gotta have money to buy legislation. Everyone knows that. And as for socialism, our countries founders based our govt, at least in part, on socialism. Funny how it got turned into something evil by politicians. Same thing with the term liberal. Our founding fathers were liberals. Now the GOP paints that assomething bad... Personally I think both parties are wacked. Please dont associate my words or thoughts with either side of any argument you hear on the media. I like to think for myself and many times see valid points on both sides. Usually the side I disagree with seemsto take a position only because it isthe opposite of the one their opponents take. Pretty childish. It's like they refuse to agree because it's a sign of weakness.

I could say plenty about the Republicans. Like the Evangelicals who voted for Obama because Romney is a Mormon.

But when you're fighting for the Constitution of the United States, you need only belong to one party...the American Party.

If Mark Kelly and Gabby Giffords can't claim to being warped at this point, they can claim to be pure out and out stupid.

Stupid is as stupid does....in all that box of chocolate.

However you want to evaluate the Giffords/Kelly saga, more and more Americans are saying that they don't want these kinds of people representing them, or making decision for them.

Oh, yeah....now I remember....life is like a box of chocolate
