October 01, 2004: A contingent of six multi-role F-16s of Pakistan Air Force has reached Turkey to participate in a Multi air forces exercise code
named "Anatolian Eagle". According to a PAF press release, the Turkish Air Force accorded a warm welcome to PAF Fighting Falcons. Participation in a
multi-national air exercise in Turkey shall be an interesting as well as challenging task for the PAF Falcons. Besides Pakistan, leading air forces
from United States, Germany, Holland, Italy and Turkey are orchestrating air battle scenarios in demanding operational environments. A fortnight at
Turkey would not only shape up training of PAF officers and men but would also serve as a milestone in strengthening ties between countries
participating in the exercise.
Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Kaleem Saadat shall visit the Turkey Air Base holding Exercise "Anatolian Eagle" and witness the
culminating high intensity air operations. The PAF historically participated in multi-national Air Force Exercises in the past. This includes
exercises with USA, UK, Iran and Turkey. These exercises have obviously been of tremendous learning value for all participants. "Anatolian Eagle"
will be a step in the same direction, the press release added.
