A logical wedge of absolute liberation and therefore, humor.

I have become convinced recently that there is a purely logical and rational and psychological "wedge" or wedge issue, capable of causing the egoic, seperative self or the self-constrained knot hedged 'round by what might be called the stratagem or mechanism of Narcissus, to become "double bound" in a type of mental chinese handcuffs (where the more you struggle only the tighter they get) which, being founded entirely on reason and logic is inescapable and unavoidable particularly in light of the circumstances and the vicissitudes of our own life as it is.

Once understood from an outside-the-box perspective, the bind is then released in absolute liberation and even hilarity at our own prior absurdity and ridiculousness, and ignorance.

Now this might evoke terrible regret at first, but then embedded right into the very heart of the dilemma is also the "hand" (again based purely on reason and logic) capable of wiping away the tears from our eyes and restoring us to humor, and true and authentic self-realization and no-self self realization (creative self) in what can only be called the humor of true understanding at the very nature of the predicament that we falsely took ourselves to be in, as the subjective jail or imprisonment we were in while all the while holding the very key to our own release in our own hand! - that's pretty funny in the light of truth and awareness and understanding - so there's a great and wonderful joke to be had here in our eventual liberation whereby "the strong man was bound" and "it is the narrow way that leads to life". This then does not entail trying now to be good for goodness' sake, or even not to not be bad - but to BE the goodness, the happiness, the joy, the bliss of our true self - set free now relative to a domain of freedom wherein and through which the human being is set free to realize his fullest potential and free and full self expression as he is if even if only in the form of a very happy and liberated, and humorous disposition, as we are, authentically, and not the person we were trying so hard to be or to become. (God it's so funny!)

I realize I haven't described here the actual logical and reasonable "wedge" itself.

To be honest I don't have time because I have to go meet a friend who wants me to accompany him to the Casino of all things..

And it's better if it's left open as an idea to be explored. Now many will say that this is impossible and there's no such thing - to them I ask you to bring forward your criticism as the thread progresses only asking but that you maintain a willingness and open mindedness to considering things from a perspective that you might not have previously considered, because if you're not careful there's a pair of Chinese handcuffs awaiting you somewhere and at some point in this thread - because I am absolutely convinced of this now, that there is a valid argument and a valid criticism, the likes of which any sane and rational person cannot help but agree with, even if to his own chagrin, dismay and if possible and God willing - absolute and utter hilarity, ever astonishment at the magnitude, both of the absurdity, and, what's on the other side of that wedge.. waiting for us with open arms.

Same thing here, because it's an all-or-nothing proposition, which makes it (the final realization) even MORE absurd, if such a thing were even possible

The old fingerlock Bonanza style Hop-Sing Chinese deal (rubicon, put your two index fingers in this innocent looking fiber weave) while you accidently step on the fuse lighter for a bunch of gunpowder fireworks that might inadvertantly blow you sky high, brilliant color just an afterthought. The humor is the wedge, it is the getting around the egocentric self. The illlogic/logic in humor is that it only relates to the one interpreting it as approximating a 'humanbeing' experience (close enough to their own truths) existing as an unfortunate lost soul/spirit missing its Mommydaddy creator NOT OF THIS EARTH. Once understood the predicament we are in and taken with a sense of irony; sardonism we are liberated from self defeating purposes those being doubt,expectations,failure,judgement,etc.. We are not supposed to take ourselves so seriously (the French understood this and is why they have gotten away with so much thumbing of the nose at establishment).,

It was intended for Psychology, Philosophy and Metaphysics because the very nature of the premise of argument is that of a logical, rational and philosophical basis for the liberation of the the human being in eternity.

It could serve as the basis for some sort of Liberation Theology I suppose, but this was intended to be a wholly logical proposition, not "faith" based in the least but purely on the knowledge of personal experience in the humor of true understanding.

Did a mod move this thread and if so, why? Is there some bias at work here?

Or did I simply make the mistake of placing the OP in the wrong forum..?

It was intended as a philosophical and logical argument only, although in the final analysis it might very well be that there's a rational basis for faith in something other than "the self"..

Oh well, didn't get any traction anyway..

Anything, although ROTFLMAO would be about right but perhaps that's not appropriate to a "theological" discussion I don't know..

I'm going to recreate this tomorrow in the Psychology, Philosophy and Metaphysics forum because I really want people to think and explore this idea all the way through with me and I want to make sure that it holds up under the scrutiny of logical and rational analysis of others whether of any kind of faith persuasion or spiritual practice or not, um not that people of religious faith aren't rational or logical don't get me wrong, but I made a mistake posting this to the Religion, Theology and Faith forum.

It would be all be different if there was a little guidance; there is none. It seems we must first overcome the 'living' experiment, day to day hand to hand. Not easy, never was fifteen hundred years ago or now, the difference, poverty, iliteracy then, now; neocompliance with alternate lifestyles existing squashed into the same system of cities, countless counties, rules regulations, law enforcement. I dont know who my neighbors are. What I see is a drug addicted society that is mentally unstable; hanging in there because there is no unity for spirit to connect to. If anyone thinks organized religion is helpful in anyway, show me why. I see it as micro social groups within mini societies that pick upon each other mercilessly. As I understand myself, there are no gains to my self awareness without looking at all possible outcomes to any given situation; that includes the humorous along with the dramatic, fatal or non-consequential. To my mind, the humorous at least has the most leeway, you have to stop laughing before you obliterate something, its all in the timing and delivery.

It's a wedge, among other things (I need to reflect some more on how best to describe it), of meaningless absurdity, utter superficiality, and inauthentic subjectivity, brought to a point of sudden awareness or epiphany in the light of a truth by which the self can no longer sustain the illusion and stratagem of Narcissus (a good allegory for the grand delusion) who mistakes the reflection of himself as his true self. It's also an inescapable wedge of the fated circumstance of what some call "karma" where one reaps from what they have sown, to the point that the root and source of one's own predicament and most fundamental difficulty can no longer be denied. To enter into the wedge is to begin to see and recognize what's of value and what isn't, even what's of supreme value relative to which everything else (all the egoic attachments, preoccupations and concerns) may be jettisoned for the garbage that it can be clearly seen and recognized by comparison. On the outside it's a wedge of meaningless suffering where "neurosis is always the substitute for legitimate suffering" (Carl Jung) but on the inside, as the narrow way that leads to life it's a meaningful suffering for the sake of everything that's worthwhile as a standard of truth and justice, goodness and love.

It has both a negative element as a push pushing us into it whereby we might be thought of as degenerating and becoming increasingly less happy, while reaping a harvest of diminishing returns, and a pull in terms of an invitation to enter into a whole new domain of creative possibility, happiness, bliss joy and all manner of creative pursuits even in regards to who we are choosing to be and become at each and every moment whereby as Adi Da pointed out in the video I offered our dilemma, and the solution to our dilemma may be considered an action that we are performing at every moment and from moment to moment.

That's a start..

As a "wedge" it's also something that is unavoidable and inescapable and which although it can be denied up to a point, cannot be denied indefinitely, so there's two ways to approach, one with the ego and it's attachments and concerns kicking and screaming, and the other with a willing surrendering of the ego (and attachments or concerns) and the emergence of a new person and a new creation with a whole new set of priorities and motivations.

It's a Reality wedge relative to which everything that is absurd and ridiculous and meaningless and of no value (fruitless) simply no longer makes any sense according to what is true and real. It's a very person joke, and personal sacrifice (as needed) however so it cannot be told to another explicately and must be discovered whereby as to what is "funny" or "sad" or "pathetic" that is a unique and personal experience because we are and were each screwed up in our own unique way, lacking as it were in perfect mental health and well being whereby it may be said that we are (and were) all of us mentally ill to a greater or lessor degree lacking in absolutely perfect mental health and well being. So the humor of the wedge's narrow path is one's own absurdity and ridculousness in the exceedingly narrow, constraining and limiting nature conditioned (bounded) by all our own assumptions, distortions and deflections and stratagems for maintaining the egoic mind, which is nothing more than a bad habit of thinking and of thinking the wrong things much too much and all of it based upon a whole series of faulty presumptions to begin with. We were absurd, we were not of optimal mental health and well being - that's hilarious from the POV of the liberated, unitive and reintegrative no-self self (creative self).

So everything that forms the very tip of the leading edge of this logical wedge, is humor in the humor of true understanding and awareness, which also just so happens to be the knowledge and the wisdom, of personal experience and therefore real knowledge known and understood even comprehended by the authentic one that we really and truly are - where everything ELSE was nonsense, everything we were holding in preference to the way the truth and the life as it is, which among other things includes nothing less than we ourselves as we are.

Reality check in otherwords. If one were to take a good look at this seemly 'explosive' all is well with the universe (15 chickens to every pot and 4 vehicles per family no..) technological giant steps would lead you blindly into believing this is a perfect utopia. The wedge is a thoughtform, sneaking up about ready to unveil something no one is expecting: THE Truth. That being; you are too late and have absolutely no control over your futures AT ALL. Everyone will have to understand this at some point between the business of just feeding, sheltering your family. Meanwhile, your lives are being undermined; and you are the chief protagant indulgents.

We are absurd in general, but there lies the seed/germ for genious in outsmarting cyclical patterned thinking. Where are the original thinkers, two generations ago they were lost to social media faves. It is happening so fast as to boggle the mind; the destruction of the free independant. Humor is not at the low end of enlightment,it is the opposite; in offering all perspectives of irony, sardonisism, sarcasm, joyful irreverance, and the potential nimbleheartedness of the human mind. I see it as the salvation of the soul blasting its way into a final liberation(not the dead guy forever symbolized on a torture device) and is deeply personal terribly individualised as you alone will recognise it; no pocket peoples around to help as they are irrelevant to your own destiny.

If we think of it, of the humorous tip of the leading edge of the spearhead of authentic being and becoming, as a point of differentiation (self recognition, of our own absurdity) and reintegration (everything of value that is worthwhile in life retained for it's value and everything that is worthless and of no value, discarded) what we might also realize and recognize (re-cognize) both looking back on the one hand with the humor of understanding, and forward relative to a whole new domain of the real truth, the real experience the real LIFE eternal or simply put life as it is - we might get to see and experience a final demarcation point or threshold (at the tip of the humor of true understanding) beyond which (in the light of truth and awareness) the ridiculous and the absurd of our present moment action (our function) can simply no longer be considered reasonable or acceptable (more tears of sorrow and hilarity), and wherever it arises immediately recognized for what it is and immediately dissolved again in this humor of real self knowledge which is the knowledge that our true creative self isn't the role that we were playing but instead the one who plays the role, the one who was at cause in all his prior sorrow and suffering for no reason or for no reason that makes any sense. At cause for allowing himself to be locked up and forgotten that is.

Therefore what we are being invited into and to discovering for ourselves is a domain of limitless freedom and new possibility for the human being even if only as the authentic experience of really BEING one's own true self, yet again and often for the first time, with the inner child recovered and retained and much of the adult self released (even rejected) both in tears of sorrow and regret in confession and forgiveness (to and by one's own self relative to one's newly discovered true and authentic creative self) and then finally - to the tears of absolute hilarity at our own prior ignorance and absurdity yet forgiven absolutely whereby absolute forgiveness is also absolute liberation.

The draw then, the invitation, is infinitely more persuasive and compelling, than the push into it, which was all the negative feedback we were getting from the false reality we were projecting based almost exclusively on a pathetic little knot of insecurity and self-constraining and limiting conditions or binds which we had placed upon our own selves so as to limit or constrain ourselves and for ridiculous and absurd reasons we thought were surreptitious but which cannot help but to be seen for what they were in the light of our newfound humorous and loving and accepting understanding.

So again, there is also a hand, of reason and logic, capable of wiping away the tears of sorrow, which only makes the joke even more amuzing, bringing about eventual tears of hilarity, and at the end, a smile and the deep sigh of real and authentic and everlasting peace, joy, satisfaction, happiness. It's ok, and by virtue of our own inclusion we are already reintegrated, and how nice it is to discover the very principal of what is eternal (in death and resurrection) while still on the way. What a marvel! How grateful am I.

As a point of differentiation and reintegration then, it is an evolutionary principal of surrender (of what is of valueless to begin with) and of death and resurrection into the new life (the everlasting life), as a life of unconditional acceptance (liberation) and love wherein the full depth and breadth of the very best of the best of what is possible for us, is made available to us, just like a new pasture into which you can freely enter and even freely come and go (until you won't want to be anywhere else).

So it's an inevitable happiness, this humor of understanding at the tip of the wedge of reason and logic. It is nothing less than the coming of the kingdom of heaven and of rebirth in Spirit from above.

And what are we to do but with humility raise our arms and our hands above our head in a receptive gesture and receive and accept still more of what God has to offer where nothing is required of us but open mindedness and open heartedness and the willingness and the audacity and the courage to receive everything that God is offering in Spirit and in Truth.

Let's talk about how we run away from it, and the lengths to which we'll go to AVOID having an authentic spiritual experience of our own true selves as we really are, however inscrutable or unfathomable that may be..

Let's wrestle over it and maybe even start a new thread about it where we can disagree over it and get to be right and make someone else wrong i.e.: avoid accepting the chinese handcuffs while attempting to place them on the other guy instead!
