So wait...

Ted Cruz and Rand Paul aren't really crazy?

Well, are you asking from the perspective of inside the Beltway or outside of it? From the rank and file politician's angle anyone who wants to limit government and uphold the Constitution is a whack job.

No, they're both whack jobs from any perspective. They hide behind the guise of 'limited government' but are really just irrational, fearful individuals. Ted Cruz doesn't believe in gay people, he also doesn't believe that there are any countries outside the US. Both Cruz and Paul don't understand what a treaty is. Paul claims to be for civil liberties but is more than happy to throw out civil rights.

Senators Cruz and Paul, like most nutjob conservatives, only like the constitution when it suits them.

Whack jobs, nut jobs, whack jobs, nut jobs? Is that how you want people to take you seriously?

Rand Paul has been vocal about being pro-life and stance on marriage. He has also been equally as vocal about how each state has their right to decide. If that is whack job/nut job then there is absolutely no politician that will satisfy you.

Btw, gay marriage is a sham, it essentially is 'tax break equality'. I have discussed this with many homosexuals (yes I live in Southern California) and most of them understand it and agree. No church should be forced by the government to marry somebody they do not want to marry just like no church should be forced by the government to KEEP from marrying anybody they want to marry.

After all this time, I can't believe some of you people have no fundamental grasp of separation of church and state.

Notice how I just made my arguments without calling you a whack job or a nut job.

McCain just needs to retire to his nice cabin in Prescott and just stay away from politics. Why would he NOT be opposed to an Obama candidate who supports civilian drones? Because someone is pulling his strings. Maverick he is NOT!!

Well, it seems these guys are taking it in stride. Cruz called it "a badge of honor." These guys aren't like the previous weak spine jellyfish before them, I don't think rhetoric and personal attacks with deter these men.

Bernie Sanders, senator from Vermont. Elizabeth Warren, senator from Massachussetts. Alan Grayson, representative from Florida. They all satisfy my political needs just fine.

When Ted Cruz is proud to have executed a foreign national on US soil without telling the consulate, thereby violating the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations, he's a whackjob.

When Rand Paul thinks the UN is trying to undermine the sovereignty of the US through a treaty that is based on US law, he's a whackjob.

I, too can pick 1 fault or dissatisfying act from one of your 'political heroes' and proceed to call them whackjobs.

But I won't because...its pointless.

And are you talking about the UN arms treaty? I can't believe you're for that???

Have gun grabbers learned nothing so far?

This posting is NOT whether you agree with Senator Rand Paul about drone policy…this is about good manners and decency.

Senator Rand Paul, as far as I recall, did NOT get personal or trash or insult anyone in his filibuster. Instead Senator Paul passionately debated. He also did not break any Senate rule but rather debated within the framework set forth by the Senate.

Can you say the same for his critics? Did they passionately debate (and disagree) with him — or did they get personal and insulting?

Take away their life long pensions. Take away their special health care. Reduce their ridiculous salaries... Yes, much more needs to be done.

At least The New Guard is effective at getting answers. Here's a clip of Ted Cruz grilling Holder over the use of drones on American soil: (skip the ad)

I don't know why you included Rubio here. He doesn't pass the smell test...

Republican Senators who voted to confirm the new CIA chief that will use Drones on American Citizens within American Borders:

Alexander (R-TN)
Burr (R-NC)
Coats (R-IN)
Coburn (R-OK)
Collins (R-ME)
Corker (R-TN)
Flake (R-AZ)
Graham (R-SC)
Hatch (R-UT)
Kirk (R-IL)
McCain (R-AZ)
Murkowski (R-AK)
**** Rubio (R-FL) ****

Every single one of these should have a target on their backs come election time.

Yeah, I am not a fan of Rubio. But he was one to help out Rand during his filibuster so I included him.

Why wouldn't I be? That's not the treaty I was referring to though. I was referring to the International Disabilities Treaty.

I genuinely, absolutely have no problem with the manner in which Sen. Paul went about asking his question. A good old fashioned filibuster. I do have a problem with his craziness though.

The parties have been hijacked by the neocon n socialists hacks. They love to team up n attack anyone not falling into the two party paradigm. Rand spoke up n the establishment had to try n discredit him. It was no surprise They don't want anyone thinking outside the box. I'm convinced Obama n the fake conservatives r on the same team.

I'd say so! WOW. John McCain is seriously over due to retire.

Sen McCain .. I appreciate what you did for your country in the past,
but now you are now hurting it more than helping. Please retire. Thank you.

I agree. If McCain had fought his Presidential opponent with the same zeal he goes after members of his own Party, he'd be President McCain now. I really look back and wonder "What the Hell were we thinking" when we nominated him? The man fought a horrible Presidential Campaign and we are supposed to listen to him as a Republican leader????? This man has done nothing but hurt the Republican party since.

I don't think anyone should be suprised really. At least not to this extent. Since eveyone literally failed to prove the events of 9-11-2001 were stagged by nato military industrial complex, this then led credence to all the wars that immidiately followed and the overblown government budget in relation to defense.

The democrats who won after Bush Jr left office and lead by Bill Clinton mocked the 9-11 truth movement and mocked Bohemian Groove. The republicans on the other hand are eyeball deep in # and obviously will avoid discussing the issue.

It has become a two party dictatorship that is self-serving. Either the two parties fear each other to an enormous extent or they are indeed ONE AND THE SAME!

Are the Pauls the only honest and brave enough elected government officials willing to cowardly challenge anything? I say cowardly challenge because they keep side stepping the crucial issues and try TO HINT the problems. Of course this is better than what 99% of our elected officials do, so yes they are DOING A LOT!

Senator McCain is partially correct in saying "No one thinks the elections were rigged". If people thought the elections were rigged than obviously they would not vote D and R or stay home and watch tv. They would vote third party or independants. People are indeed asleep and the election results prove it.
