Not sure what you mean... A genetic difference? Differences in the brain and what not? Cranial capacities?

I grew up always assuming there were planets orbiting all or most of the stars.. I laughed when they didn't know if there were other planets out there... and when they found exoplanets, and acted so surprised, I was just laughing at them..
Thinking we are the only ones is a narrow minded vision.
You have no IDEA how many MILLIONS of other intelligent lifeforms there are just in our galaxy alone!
Off topic, but nice avatar. Had to say something...
On topic theres that math equation that literally puts intelligent species in the billions right? The drake equation.

I find this story quite interesting.
It is interesting. Now, can you please explain how this is "Breaking" news?
It's an article from NPR dated today.

Since there are at least 100 billion galaxies in the universe, suppose every galaxy only had one intelligent civilization. That means there would be 100 billion intelligent civilizations in the universe. That's mind boggling enough.

I like to think that our ancestors meant well. They were a good, if primitive, people. However I do believe their primitive instincts have done them in this time around. Chances are they assaulted or just generally molested these aliens. Maybe they were bringing us technology. Maybe they were going to teach us about the stars. Or how to make pie charts. But no, these aliens were sexually assaulted by our primitive ancestors and decided to give this planet a wide berth for all of time. Earth, blacklisted from intergalactic society for all of time due to the raging uncontrollable urges of our wild insatiable ancestors. And believe me, times haven't changed as much as we would like to believe. If aliens came to Earth today there is someone out there who would have sex with them. I am absolutely sure of it.

To bring it back on topic, as per the thread title at least, one could theorise at 1 advanced species per Galaxy, there may be as many as 300 Billion species wanting a shag with us.
I'll get the condoms and the tissues.

Thought that Galaxy estimate had been revised up..it's now thought there are around 300 Billion in the Universe.

"His abduction started out typically, I.E., late at night, in bed. He was lying in bed, kept wide awake by the barking dogs, when paralysis set in. He was unable to cry out. His Wife didn’t waken. The next thing he knew, he was being levitated above his bed. He then had the sensation he was being suspended by what felt like a pole inserted into his rectum. By this time, he was alive with terror, but he couldn’t scream. " Unholy Communion: The Fourth Kind Unveiled
