Aliens are committed to morals. they do not do any illegal sex !!!!!!!!!!
as an anthropologist, have you ever explored any difference between human race and animals !?

Not sure what you mean... A genetic difference? Differences in the brain and what not? Cranial capacities?

I think I have heard that from a genetic point of view, human is over 90 percent similar to some monkey.
I think genetics can not explain everything. human is really an exception in this world. it can not be accidental.

On topic theres that math equation that literally puts intelligent species in the billions right? The drake equation.

Which now needs urgent revision, considering the recent discovery of some precursor molecules required for the formation of one of the amino acids that make up DNA has been found in the vacinity of the star Sagittarius B.

We're also finding evidence of building blocks or precursor molecules required for the formation of DNA, on other planets and moons in our own system too.

As far back as 1986, the moon Titan was showing evidence of complex organics in it's upper atmosphere, or tholins, which when replicated in the lab, and treated with HCL, was ultimately found to go on to yield 16 amino acids, raising speculation about a possibly water rich history on Titan and past or even future primitive life being formed.

At least one planetary moon in our system, Europa, is entirely covered by water ice, with strong possibility of a liquid 'water world' beneath the ice covering. Again, a strong contender for either past, present or future life being discovered there.

Mars is now confirmed to have or once had large amounts of liquid water too, pointing to the likelyhood of Mars having once had life or at least similar precursor molecules to those being found elsewhere.

As most of us know, many billions of galaxies are known to exist, many billions of stars populate each galaxy, planets are being discovered orbiting most of those stars, our own system has a planet teeming with DNA based life, some of it very, very primitive and some of it intelligent and technological.

IMO, life is almost everywhere, at all levels of development and complexities. Compared to ourselves, it's certain life will be existent in every stage between extremely primitive and incredibly, perhaps even inconceivably developed and advanced / complex.

If sex isn't a prime motivational force among all advanced instances of at least DNA based life in the Universe, it certainly is among ourselves and virtually every other living organism we're familiar with on our own world.

Generally, for various reasons, Humans are very interested in the mating and sexual behaviour of other species on our planet. An ultra sophisticated lifeform interacting with our own species would presumably through observation or detecting our involuntary sexual chemical signatures, know this and as a base level of communication and interaction, i could see sex as being considered a reasonable and pretty much inspired contact protocol among very different but technological, intelligent beings to overcome cultural or similar barriers to communication.

'We come in peace...let's have sex' may not be as far out a notion as it sounds!

I find this story quite interesting.

It is interesting. Now, can you please explain how this is "Breaking" news?

It's an article from NPR dated today.

With that logic, CNN should interrupt their programming and scream with bold letters "THIS IS CNN BREAKING NEWS!!!" and then start discussing this story, correct?

This is not breaking news nor a current event that is going on in the world today or right now. This is a theoretical science article.

I like to think that our ancestors meant well. They were a good, if primitive, people. However I do believe their primitive instincts have done them in this time around. Chances are they assaulted or just generally molested these aliens. Maybe they were bringing us technology. Maybe they were going to teach us about the stars. Or how to make pie charts. But no, these aliens were sexually assaulted by our primitive ancestors and decided to give this planet a wide berth for all of time. Earth, blacklisted from intergalactic society for all of time due to the raging uncontrollable urges of our wild insatiable ancestors. And believe me, times haven't changed as much as we would like to believe. If aliens came to Earth today there is someone out there who would have sex with them. I am absolutely sure of it.

Haha, that's a funny thought.
It makes me think of the insatiable bonobo monkeys.
Maybe the bonobo's raped the aliens and the result was, ehr.. some neanderthal or other ancient humanoid

Since there are at least 100 billion galaxies in the universe, suppose every galaxy only had one intelligent civilization. That means there would be 100 billion intelligent civilizations in the universe. That's mind boggling enough.

Thought that Galaxy estimate had been revised up..it's now thought there are around 300 Billion in the Universe.

To bring it back on topic, as per the thread title at least, one could theorise at 1 advanced species per Galaxy, there may be as many as 300 Billion species wanting a shag with us.

I'll get the condoms and the tissues.

my gut feeling is it would be like having sex with the insane....why would they even think about it...if you traveled thousands of light years to another planet would the first thing on you mind be, i gotta have it off with one of these things....
Na....i dont think that's why they are here, if they are here at all....

Honestly, could you have it off with the mentally challenged...that's what we would be to a species who are tens of thousands of light years ahead of us....if they do then they must be sick individuals or bereft of a good stash of Porn on the way here..

Why do you think in the so called Trilogy of The Hitchhikers Guide the Galaxy it states that a towel is the most important item a hitchhiker can have. Knowing where one's towel is is being in control of one's life.

Keep your towel close and remember Don't Panic!

I've had thoughts about this a few times and just say hypothetically speaking it is true, I strongly believe in ancient advanced civilizations before us, what if a part of one of these civilizations broke off (or separate groups survived a great disaster) and developed their own technology amongst other things. What if, one of these groups chose underground or under the sea, depending on how far advanced they became.

What if, they are responsible for some UFO reports. What if, going on the reports of UFOs shutting down nuclear facilities, people care more about the planet than our part of civilization.

A ton of what if questions, but it is fascinating and these UFOs are coming from some place

Maslow's hierarchy places sex in the physiological needs category along with food and breathing; it lists sex solely from an individualistic perspective. For example, sex is placed with other physiological needs which must be satisfied before a person considers "higher" levels of motivation.

True alien DNA would not be compatible with human. The alien intelligence would probably know that, but if the DNA was almost a match there might be a similar sexual resonance between the two species. They might treat going out to dinner as a prerequisite need as well so if you are stupid enough to make the wrong resonance in the wrong place..

ORLY?

I would NOT consider being paralyzed and impaled on a pole "moral"...

"His abduction started out typically, I.E., late at night, in bed. He was lying in bed, kept wide awake by the barking dogs, when paralysis set in. He was unable to cry out. His Wife didn’t waken. The next thing he knew, he was being levitated above his bed. He then had the sensation he was being suspended by what felt like a pole inserted into his rectum. By this time, he was alive with terror, but he couldn’t scream. " Unholy Communion: The Fourth Kind Unveiled
