CO waitress gets own stolen ID when carding patron

I had to laugh when reading this news story.

LAKEWOOD, Colo. — A waitress in Lakewood didn’t have any trouble at all identifying trouble while serving a customer. She says she was handed her own stolen I.D.

Can you believe it?? She was handed her own stolen ID when she carded the patron. The patron was either really stupid or trashed (likely the latter). How would you have handled the situation if you were the bartender in this case?
I would have had to bite my tongue from grabbing the perp before going in back to call the police (like the woman in the story did).

At least sometimes Karma strikes like a bolt-out-of-the-blue!

You know, I asked myself that question before I read yours. I think I'd have done what she did. probably would have offered appetizers on the house.

I'd just smile and serve him his drink...then call the cops. The person probably doesn't even connect the bartender to the face on the ID- if they even studied it at all.

Talk about awkward!
