The clouds abruptly turned into condensed mirrors of darkness.

The icy breeze flows through me at a frightening speed.

I look around anticipating the absolute worse.

How can this be?

I just had a breakthrough!

My heart skips several beats as a lump manifests in my throat.

The sound? 'Oh no!'

The sound rapidly moves closer.

That wretched sound that can eat my flesh away bits at a time.

It's the sound of over a million screeching, wandering souls who are stuck in the middle.

I try to turn my ears off as they slowly creep and form a circle all around.

I drop to my aching knees in the mud below.

They close in around me; howling in misery.

I squeeze my eyes closed as my flesh is shredded away......

and I become one of them.

That first line just came to me and I just wrote this whenever I posted it...
That's never really happened. It was a pretty awesome feeling though how fast I wrote it.

Very deep and although what you have written may have a personal meaning of some sort I think many will relate to the metaphorical implications of your message. Stuck in the middle with you just don't like the taste of flesh
